Jalen shut his haters up for now. Lets see if he will be consistent or not. One big diff I see the Suns coach is very active and wont put up with his **** unlike Ime. Ime is actually a very lax coach once you are on his good side, FVV and Jalen were allowed to play like ass for too long. This Suns coach is diff, when Jalen started taking heat checks and clanking them he immediately sat him down, didnt give a F about JG's 30. JG has a lot of potential he needs a strict coach like the Suns coach if he will ever reach that potential. If he keeps this up he will prob be an allstar wonder what the haters will say then lol.
It's one game. Jalen always had big games throughout the season. Hell he had that awesome 13 game stretch a couple of years ago. The question is if he can be consistent throughout the season rather than having bad stretches of basketball. He may with less pressure on him to perform but I wouldn't hold my breath either.
They won without JG and Dillon against Wemby and told the league how to defend Wemby....... They are a well coached team, better than I expected, Ott deserves a lot of credit. If they go with the defensive identity, I would think Royce O'Neill, Ryan Dunn, Gillespie and also Brooks would play a major role in that, on the other end Booker should close out games, JG is just the extra eye candy to drop a few scoring nights. Edit: Fleming and Maluach should get comfortable too.
Ime let FVV and JG play over 35 mins as they were being the brick bros. He is strict until you get into his good side then he lets you do whatever you want.
I don't regret the trade at all but I expect Jalen will be much more consistent on the Suns thanks to the space he'll have to operate. Sengun and him just were not going to work, their two man game is not nearly as lethal as Sengun+KD... Plus, I think minus Jalen we will get to see more from Amen and Jabari, who I think both work better with Sengun. I've always said too that a big part in getting Durant is for him to come in and work with these guys every single day, for them to pick his mind and see how he works. I think it'll work out for both teams, I think it'll kind of be like the Giddey trade, where yeah, OKC gave up a great prospect that looks like he's going to be a perennial all-star but...they are also not really missing him either. Point being. I think the Rockets have a chance to win a championship with this lineup, I don't think that's true with Green. If we do get a ring with Durant then I don't care if Jalen Green goes on to become an MVP. The ring is always the thing.
I wish Jalen Green the best. This team will lose a ton of games this season and next. To the point where I would not be surprised if Green and Booker were both gone by next season's trade deadline.
Yeah 11th sounds about right. I think that when they go on a losing streak they will have a lot of drama. We'll seeeee
Make an impact in NBA Cup or beat some contenders, that would be fun but it is too early for guys like Maluach or Flemming.
Lol at everyone wondering if Jalen is going to be consistent....We spent 3 years getting the answer to that question.
