The bottom line is that we do not know how all of this will play out. The level of posting every damned thing you read to support whichever candidate you want is staggering. It looks like there are Kool-Aid drinkers on both sides of the aisle.
WOW Jorge! More bad news that proves you wrong...again.... Hillary's Top Female Supporters Rally Around Obama The other day, EMILY's List president Ellen Malcolm revealed that she's not over her "anger and grief" at Hillary's loss, but that hasn't stopped her from coming out with a full-throated endorsement of Obama. Malcolm and other of Hillary's most loyal supporters convened a conference call today to make an aggressive case for Obama and against McCain... This sort of stuff will be central to Obama's efforts to prevent whatever female defections to McCain that might occur, with Roe v. Wade, of course, being at the center of the argument. Meanwhile, a new Gallup poll today finds that Obama has jumped to a double-digit lead among women since Hillary quit, leading McCain 51%-38%.
Does anyone else think the election has become a quiet race war? like all the young "G"s are voting for Obama.
You are such an interesting character. Did you know that Ted wasn't interested in being Hillary's veep?
Uh oh WASHINGTON - Days after becoming his party’s presumptive nominee and receiving an endorsement from his chief rival, Hillary Clinton, Democrat Barack Obama has opened the general election campaign with a six-point edge over Republican John McCain, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. Obama leads McCain among registered voters, 47 to 41 percent, which is outside the poll’s margin of error. In the previous NBC/Journal survey, released in late April, Obama was ahead by three points, 46-43 percent. “The poll clearly shows a post-primary bump for Barack Obama,” says Republican pollster Neil Newhouse, who conducted the survey with Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25096620/
I've said it other times lil Jorge made assumptions about jews. My entire jewish family is voting for Obama. All of my jewish friends are voting for Obama. I don't know who these people are that are going to vote for McCain, but my guess is that they were going to anyway.
Roughly 80% of jews will vote democrat... that's how its been for decades. Lieberman's views (especially on Iraq and prayer in school) do not represent the majority of us.
Funny how George has not been back into this thread after being proven wrong so many times. I love it.
I know, that's why I thought it was funny. When the Democrats take a solid majority of the Senate, I can't wait for Lieberman to get his comeuppance.
Momentum is building in the blogosphere that the guy behind the Hillary Clinton for McCain website is a phony. In fact a group that is legitimately seeking Clinton be made the VP is saying that one his related sites is not to be trusted. I'm sure more is coming...
Sorry for the double post but this one is going to be a bit longer. NEWSFLASH FOR Trader_Jorge, Barrack Obama's biggest problem with Jewish Voters is that there aren't enough of them!!! WASHINGTON - A new Gallup survey found that 61% of Jewish voters prefer Obama to McCain, who got 32% of the Jewish support. That number is far greater than the rate found for the general population, who only preferred Obama to McCain 45-43, according to the poll. Obama also still trails Clinton in Jewish support, according to the survey, with Clinton winning against Obama in the Jewish community 50%-43%. Source - The Jerusalem Post, May 9th, 2008. http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost/JPArticle/ShowFull&cid=1209627043154 Although Jewish Democratic voters favored Clinton in the primaries, Jewish registered voters overall say they would support either Obama or Clinton in a November match-up with McCain. According to CBS News Polls conducted from February to May, both Obama and Clinton would win among Jewish voters nationally by a comfortable margin. If the candidates were Obama and McCain, the polls show Obama would get 65 percent of the vote of Jewish registered voters to 28 percent for McCain. Source: CBS News - http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/06/02/politics/main4146919.shtml Gallup Poll - According to Gallup's aggregated tracking data for all of April, 61% of Jewish voters would vote for Obama, much higher than the national average of 45% of all registered voters. Rather than declining between March and April, support for Obama versus McCain among Jewish voters has increased slightly, from a 23-point margin in favor of Obama (58% to 35%) to a 29-point margin (61% to 32%).
That's well below the level of Jewish voters that voted for Kerry over Bush (75%). And the best is yet to come. OUCH
