I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it. (Luke 18:17)

And Jesus said that Kingdom of God is not elsewhere but inside you. So it makes sense that someone who doesn't accept Jesus message of love inside them will never really experience love. It doesn't mean that Judaism is less than perfect.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. ( 1 John 3:18 )

Do you realize how arrogant and idiotic it is to say that you have faith in a certain religion, but don't think everyone else would be better off if they were a member of that faith?

Faith in a religion is not a search for what suits you, it's a search for how, why, and when you were created.

So if Christianity is indeed what our creator wanted us to believe in, then how could you possibly say that everyone else is not better served having the same faith in it as you do?

I have faith in a certain religion, but I'm not even going to weigh in on whether or not everyone else would be better off as part of that religion. I have faith that everyone can get there, but may take different paths to do so. I can talk about my path, and hope that it helps some, and if they want to follow it, then great. But I don't think Christianity is about a competition to see how many subscriptions we can sell, and need to convince or be convinced that anyone who isn't in it is less than perfect.

As Christians we are far from perfect ourselves, and our efforts should be in that direction. I know I think it is the best, but that doesn't mean I think less if someone else has other ideas.

How exactly is it arrogant to think that people of other faiths and religions can be just as decent and honorable as someone of my faith ? How is it arrogant to think that those people can do just as much good for the world, believing what they believe ? Oh right, you needed to copy what I previously said, because that is a great "debating" style. Nevermind...

You should probably try to avoid telling other people what faith means. The fact that you can't see how ridiculous it is to do that kind of tells me this conversation won't go anywhere.

It's possible to have faith in a religion and still have enough humility, as a human, to understand that there is a chance what I believe may not be the absolute truth for everyone. While I truly believe in my Church, I understand that everyone's interpretation of God, faith, religion has in some way, big or small, been affected by mankind and region, language, culture, ethnicity, etc. So arguing over which religion is right or trying to "convert" someone or question another person's faith is pointless and does nothing to help humanity.

You can continue to question my beliefs and consider me a bad Christian, but I know exactly how my Church and faith have affected my life and taught me the importance of sacrifice and good works. That's all that matters to me.

    Sorry.

I think the idea is that if one believes that acceptance of Jesus (and thus Christianity) is the only way to eternal salvation, then it seems that they should want everyone else to accept Jesus and thus be saved. Isn't that the idea of evangelism?

I'm not an evangelist, though. But yes, I think that's what evangelists believe.

    Through the stained glass window
    Moonlight crashes on the ground
    And splashes on the altar
    And floats in liquid fire
It bathes you with its' glory
    As you begin life anew
    And the kingdom of heaven
    Is within you

Do you think the majority of either Christians in specific or religious people in general are evangelists?

It depends on how you believe is the way to to accept Jesus. Do you just believe that he existed? Do you actually accept and believe in his philosophy, etc?

isnt she the lady that called john edwards a "f*g"?

ironic that she is talking about tolerance...

however, as far as jewish organizations calling media to ban her from appearing, i think thats wrong. she should be allowed to express her opinions. last i checked they were protected by the first amendment.

im not a big fan of her but she still has her rights.
