I'll tell you why nothing happened. Sloan system rule #83: Never initiate contact when someone's looking.
I heard on ESPN that Sloan made a play for Williams to run last night and Williams did not run it. Sloan was upset at Jazz management when they let Boozer and Wesley Matthews go. He had problems with Williams from the start of the season.
AB would of never walked off the court in the 4th qtr. with Sloan around... Sloan to Houston... NOW...
My hypocrisy also knows no bounds when it comes our Rockets. Sloan is one of only a handful of coaches that I'd like to see coach our team. That said, how would you all feel about him putting his "stamp" on Rockets basketball? In fact one could say that it's everything Rockets basketball ISN'T about. That said winning basketball games is.......
I agree with you there. We've all come to hate the Jazz and their foul, disgusting, flopping ways but we'd all welcome their coach with open arms to replace RA lol. With that said, I don't see a man in his 70's (or something like that) coming to coach a team that's just a little ways off from going into rebuild mode.
holy crap, about 7 minutes in they mentioned that he just became the longest tenured nba coach after don nelson quit. in 1995!
did not see this coming. "Lost my energy." and his asst quit with him. Obviously after signing an extension, there is no way he can sign with another employer, right. He must really be retiring.
something smells like Sloan and Deron didn't get along, and the owner always sides with the franchise player.
?!?!?!? What???????!?!?!?! Sloan leaves mid season? There must have been some nastiness going on behind the scenes.
the front office probably did but you know the folks in utah willl be beyond pissed and it may force a deal. if their white hof maybe the best PG ever couldnt deliver them a ring how do you think they'll be towards a not fully white just been an all-star once let alone hof PG will fare after pushing out their HOF coach?
Wellp.. this comes as a shocker. As much as I hate the Jazz, Jerry Sloan was really a class act in the NBA.
