oh sure. the quitter won 42 games in 2004 with this unit http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/UTA/2004.html
The post-game discussion wasn’t the only sign of issues among Jazz brass. Thursday morning’s practice was canceled, forward Andrei Kirilenko was seen leaving the coaches’ room and not the locker room and several players said there was an uneasy vibe drifting through the team, according to The Tribune. there must be something b/c sloan was late to the post-game press conference last game (something related to family i guess) very sad situation. good coach (hate his flopping ways, which will be carried on since jeff hornacek is the likely successor)
Dam, I didn't remember so many of those guys played with Utah...Mo Williams, Mikki Moore, Sasha P. and Arroyo???
After the Andrei Kirilenko for Troy Murphy and Anthony Morrow deal goes down, we will know that the Russian Mafia made Sloan "an offer he couldn't refuse." He resigned because his health was at risk.
I really really hope that he was not forced to resign. that would be extreme douchebaggery from the jazz management.
wow, they're 2nd and 3rd leading scorers were harpring with 16.2 ppg and giricek with 13.5 ppg and those guys played a COMBINED 56 games. the real 2nd and 3rd leading scorers were arroyo and deshawn stevenson, both below 13 ppg. crazy to be above .500.
Maybe the guy can coach, if you count teaching star players that they have to cheat to win (how many titles did that theory win?) but anyone calling themselves a Houston Rockets fan that would endear him and his flopping ways on this team must not have watched his teams play over the years. Hope his health (and his family's) is ok, I'm sure his legacy of winning regular games will be recognized, and if Hornycheck really is the successor they shouldn't suffer too much withdrawals from flopping on the floor... I am also really glad to see the dude step down. In my opinion the league is better for it.
true. but our team has some floppers. and soft like charmin. if we are going to keep getting these types of players, might as damn well.

As much as I HATE the Jazz..I've always respected Sloan as a Coach. He seemed to be a classy guy. Who was it that Sloan Benched and admonished in the middle of the game for being a jerk to our players..I don't remember who it was..but I think he ended up on our roster later.
