He may be labeled as a good defender... but he isn't doing his job. Stop being naive and watch the ******* basketball court and see for yourself. He has nothing to contribute offensively either.

Any thoughts on if he'll get any garbage time before the trade?

I guess Morey isn't watching the games.

When did JT become a small forward?

Just because he can guard Kobe, and battier, who's guarded kobe, is a SF, doesnt mean JT can play the SF spot.

That's like saying Brooks can be a SF because he's guarded Monta, and Battier also has.

first off, you do realize the rocket river thing is a joke, right? we are definitely not one in the same, nor do we even know each other.

second, i understand your take because it's in every freakin' thread 20 times.

third, i disagree with your take. basketball is the most transaparent sport in regards to critiquing gm's given how much we know about the salary cap and team rosters. Morey's moves have been sound and provided a talented roster without an exceptional talent in hopes of using some of the depth in order to acquire said exceptional talent. He has also covered his backside by maintaining future salary cap flexiblity and obtaining draft picks.

will this eventually work out? maybe not. best laid plans and all, the current mix looks like its having some major challenges, but we are far from done.

fourth, the limited set of stars that have opted not to come to houston has everything to do with an injury riddled 7' 6" man from china. not because of some old woman gossip mill running the nba.

Nor is Adelman, since he's the one not giving Taylor any minutes.

    Adelman = 0-4 r****d.

He said Battier is our best perimeter defender... he didn't say Battier has played well. Learn the difference.. it's not that hard to comprehend.

And you want to bench our perimeter defender when we need to play better defense. Learn to think. It's not that hard.

    Yeah, sure.....

    ;)

All true, but this is his roster, if it is failing, he is the guy in charge, he and Adelman need to take some of the blame....he is the boss.

Agree about Yao being a big roadblock to NBA stars coming here, but also I think we are perceived as cheap around the league by players...we don't extend anyone, we just traded a guy we signed last year for a CHEAPER player.....

It all adds up in reputation, and you know as well as anyone that players are going to talk about it.

What part of "he isn't playing defense" do you not get? YES, we need to improve it... but obviously he hasn't improved. You're acting like we're going to try something new with Battier in there. We're not trying anything new, it'll be the same bull ****. I don't see why it's so hard for you to see what I'm saying. We've been doing the same thing for the last 4 games... doing the same thing for the 5th time isn't going to improve our defense.

By benching our best perimeter defender you think our defense will improve? Wow, ok.

That's critical thinking for you, I guess.

Just because he's our best perimeter defender doesn't mean he's playing good defense. Taking him out and replacing him with Chase Budinger in the starting line up isn't going to change anything defensively if he isn't really playing good defense. Do you get it now? I never said it would improve, I just said it wouldn't hurt our current defense (which is ****ty).

Calling a team that has the 7th highest payroll cheap is ridiculous... I like to know how much you spend on supporting the team.

feel free to check our ip's if you want. the rr thing started out by me making fun of him signing all his posts (arrogance at its best) by me signing a post rr. the playful nature of it thereafter made it funny to me.

now what player have we missed out on due to reputation? chris bosh? eric dampier? brad miller?

if the money is right and it's not about spotlight, houston has as good a chance for any given player as any team.

quit trying to make more out of something than there is.

I said perception rebel, the perception is that we do not extend contracts, and we only go for midlevel people.

And the payroll is high because it is a byproduct of the Tmac era, and you should know that.

I know..I am jerking your chain dude.

No they do not...they were not in the running for Bosh, Wade, Lebron, Amare to name the top 4 free agents this summer.

Houston is just NOT a top destination anymore.......and you were right about Yao, they won't be again until his career is over.
