I support Adelman. Nothin can be worse than JVG..But last nights substitutions cost us the game (again). He seems to wait WAY too long to bring in his bench. When you see Chuck Hayes getting outjumped, why wait till your down by 6 to bring Hill in? We were up by like 8 and rode the starters almost the whole 3rd quarter

With that said, I dont see the strategy in having Martin and Budinger in at the same time. Both dont play any D, and both have problems creating they're own shot. They are the most non physical tandem in the NBA. RA should play JT and Martin, that way you have a shooter and a slasher who can atleast cause some problems defensivley. That's just common basketball

Oh no, We suck again.I think Morey is showcasing his young players. He may trade some of his young assets- Budinger, Hill, Lowery, Lee, etc. and combine them with maybe Battier, Miller, Jeffries, etc. and make a big deal. or he will let expiring assets expire, and get a really good draft pick, Whatever he does it wont happen until Dec 15 at the earliest

This reminds me of the Astros for it often seemed that we removed the starter an inning too late. The coach would try to get that "one more inning" and it costing us the game in many cases.

Yes, he doesn't pass. Yes, all he does is shoot once he gets the ball. But I can't imagine that his positives wouldn't help this team right now. Decisiveness. Competitive fire. Not being afraid to take the big shot. Defense on the perimeter combined with the ability to score. Being able to create his own shot. He has potential. But more than that, it's his attitude that I think the team needs. No shrinking from the moment. No passiveness. No giving up on the game. Focus on the game when in the game. It's infectious (all the guys started playing harder when Jermaine came into the game and changed the complexion of the game).

Should we start chanting "We want Jermaine!"

A guy fighting for spot in the league probably couldn't hurt. You're right, everyone else on the team is in a daze. Pathetic you'd have to resort to playing a fringe pro athlete just to get 100% from a player.

Jermaine will never get a chance on this team.

    Hope I'm wrong.

Unfortunately you probably aren't. We went out of our way to get Lee to be the backup SG, but really he barely gets equal minutes to 2nd year Budinger, despite having more NBA experience being a 3rd year player that started on a team that went to the finals.

Taylor showed a lot of promise last year when got significant playing time but has still become the forgotten man on the bench. I don't know what he and Chase are looking like in Practice but they must be seeing something out there to keep favoring Budinger over JT and short of a Chuck Hayes in the playoffs type performance that probably won't change.

No, Kevin Martin should just start.
But JT should take Ish's place in second unit.

    2nd unit:
    Lee
    Taylor
    Budinger
    Hill
    Miller

This line up has offence and defence ;)
The way we are playing right now we don't need a true PG. Hayes or Miller always has the ball....

    What do you guys think?

Pretty good idea... 4 3pt shooters to stretch the floor for Hill or set up Miller in the high post.

Only problem is we have nobody that has any idea what to do late in the shot clock. Ish can penetrate and find the open man with time winding down. Ish is also better on the fast break, but what do we have to lose? It is time to try something new.

Most likely he's relegated to the bench because Morey has thrown him in as a trading chip he's set up behind the scenes. The other team doesn't want him injured, thus RA can't play him or give him big minutes even if he wanted to.

Is there a reason why the Rockets don't let him get some playing time in the D-League? It isn't good for any player to barely play.

I like how he can score but the last match against the mavericks he was really ball hogging a lot and was reluctant when he passed the ball.
It seems like he is trying to prove too hard to the coaches that he can play. I understand his frustration but man, you have to play with the team too..

No left hand. No dribble to the left. No understanding of where his teammates are. No. No. No.

He was averaging almost 30 in the D league and he has some great athleticism!

And i am keeping in mind d league doesnt necessarily transfer over to the NBA but at this point, what do we have to lose!
