You obviously don't remember the game at Phoenix, where Tinsley went down in infamy. You will rarely see a bigger meltdown.

Believe me, there is more wrong with Tinsley than injuries. Bird won't get a dime's worth of Russian rubles for him and he knows it.

    agreed, he always finds trouble.

i like this deal for both teams.. the pacers can go small/run and gun which o'brien likes or stay more conventional with nesterovic at the 5. Ford is a perfect point guard for an uptempo system. The raptors get another nice low post player to add to good shooters on the perimeter in calderon and parker. However, i'm not sure how bargnani fits in as he doesn't strike me as a SF. I'd probably start moon for his defense if I was them.

All I want to know is this: Where the hell is abc2007 now?!?!?!

    Remember this?

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=148282&highlight=calderon

Guy went on and on about how Ford was the Raptors point guard of choice and Calderon was as good as gone. He acted as if he had inside info on the situation and snubbed every bit of information that indicated that Calderon was the guy the Raptors were sticking with.

So yeah, basically my point is this: I TOLD YOU SO, ABC2007! Hahaha...

Yeah. I know. Not among my more mature moments. But that guy was really annoying me.

    Overhere, in deep depression!

BTW, it seems you are very happy with this result! I thought all rockets fans want Calderon to play here.

Bargnani will be the third part of the 4/5 rotation.

Hmmm...bad trade, Chris Bosh and Jermaine O Neal have very similar games despite the fact CB is a PF and Jermaine is a 'C'.

Raps should've got a SF or a defensive C for TJ Ford.

We shall see how he accepts a bench role.

He didn't start every game last year - so I guess he'll deal with it :p

Agree with you 100%. Indiana wasn't going to contend anyway and now they get rid of a massive contract and add the 17th pick to their first round. I don't think a healthy JO (which isn't likely) is enough to put Toronto in TITLE contention. It was also clear JO couldn't be a piece for a team to build around because of his constant injuries. I give Indiana the better end of this deal. 12th and 17th pick plus freed up cash for a team needing to rebuild anyway = win IMO.

I disagree, I think they will feed off of each other very nicely. At this point I expect Jermaine to be used primarily in the post and Bosh was never really a back to the basket type guy but more-so a jump shooting cutting type of PF. I always felt Bosh was a bit of a tweener in terms of his game is suited to a SF's but his height makes him a PF.

I like this trade for Indiana more (future). Tinsley is a cancer, as is O'Neal with all the injuries and now they get younger.

Good deal for the raptors. We should have offered Hayes, Head, Francis and even Landry for JO and Tinsley.

I think they brought in O'Neal for a defensive presence. He can be a difference maker on that end (if he's playing...)

but seriously...3 jump shooting big men? Jermaine, Bosh and Bargnani...

    Better than a 5 time all-star? Really?

I'd be upset if I ever thought there was any chance of the Rockets obtaining Calderon, but there wasn't. And I (and basically everyone with any sense of reality) knew it. That being the case, I don't feel we've lost anything. To the contrary, I'm excited that there is no chance of the Rockets gambling on the incredibly injury prone T.J. Ford. And on top of all of that, I was right and you were wrong. :D

I hope this can give you the courage to live!

BTW, before I never thought I would be so important to another person. Very touching!

I think this deal tells you everything about how much the Pacers think O'Neal has in the tank. Two years ago, this trade is laughable.

I think O'Neal is close to becoming a 25 mpg role player.

    Possibly a washed up 5 times all-star.

True. But who on earth could they possibly get who is any better in exchange for T.J. "Spine Breaker" Ford?
