This reminds me of this guy at college I had in almost all my business classes. I don't know what the deal was, but it seemed like I had at least one class with him every semester. The guy ALWAYS sat in front, would ALWAYS try to answer the prof's questions, would ALWAYS try to argue other viewpoints with the prof, would ALWAYS act like he was best friends with everybody, would ALWAYS shake everybody's hand when he talked to them like he knew who they were, would ALWAYS get to class early and talk to the prof and shake his hand like he was his best buddy. The guy was SO freaking annoying. He was so like the stereotypical "business networking guy" who was always smiles, but was ridiculously fake. Everybody hated the guy when he tried to brag about everything. He thought if he talked a lot in class it would make him sound smart, but it usually made him look like a jackhole. He was also extremely arrogant and would totally look down on whatever anybody else said. I guess he made good grades, I don't really know, but I was unfotunate to have to do a group project with him and even if he didn't know what he was talking about, he'd always try to take control and do it HIS way. We finally got to the point where the other 3 of us would have to ALL tell him we were doing it a certain way. He wasn't even that smart. Just typing about him bring back memories of that guy...and I didn't even know him that much. What a legacy to leave behind to people that didn't even really know...a legacy of "big jerk."
Aren't they Blue Raiders? Or did something change recently? Yep, try being a prof and having jerks in your classes. Harder to get away from them that way. I really like most of my students. There are just a few I don't want to ever see again. If you don't respect me, especially after I bend over backwards for you, why should I respect you... except that I have to be professional and all that. There are a few girls here who are real b!tches...
Still the Blue Raiders although I think the mascot is a horse and charge has something to do with his name or shtick, lol. You can tell that I am a great alumni as I should know this...heh.
Manny, You worry too much about what other people think about you dude. Who the FRICK cares...what that guy thinks of you. Just be yourself, and blow this guy off.... DD PS I read my post and saw it could be misunderstood, as in WE don't care, when I meant, why should YOU care what he thinks.
Really in College there are some people that are annoying, but I just ignore them. Generally I meet cool people. Like, In my computer class, the professor looks EXACTLY like the old dude with old balls from Big Daddy... So last night, The guy sitting next to me goes "Hey, have you ever seen that movie Big Daddy... doesn't he look like that one dude..." so i said "I know! I've been thinking that for the past 2 weeks!" then we went on to repeat quotes from the movie. I said "I bet he has a 5 year plan.... Don't die" It was quite hilarious, we were laughing for a while and I'm sure everyone else was looking at us like we were insane.
Okay, I know this is going to sound melodramatic and I almost started a thread about this but I felt it would be grandstanding. This is the last thread in which I will discuss personal things in my life on this board ever again. A friend or at least I thought he was a friend went below the belt in an utterly tasteless and classless thread. It is very disappointing to me that this individual would do this, especially considering that I always thought that we were on good terms. So, never again, will I bother you guys with things going on in my personal life. Not only are there jerks in college classes but also there are jerks on this BBS.
I hope he is not referring to my post, as I mean why should MANNY care what the guy thinks, not that WE don't care....I edited my post so as to avoid confusion. DD
No, it wasn't you Dakota. It was someone in the sim leagues who rarely posts in the Hangout. The fact that it was a fellow simleaguer makes it even more disappointing to me.
I think he's talking about THIS thread... Oh well, look at the bright side...This just means twice the number of "What's your favorite B-side from bands that had lead singers with mullets" threads....
Manny, I don't think you should give a **** about that thread. Chuck posted that in an effort to rattle me into waking up about my idiocy over a girl, It was hardly about you.
DD - you are such a nice guy, don't worry, everybody knows that. Manny- being honest and open is an admirable quality, and makes for interesting posts. Moestavern - being insane is considered a sign of royalty in some Polynesian and Sumatran tribal communities.
Last year when I was a freshmen, my first roommate was a fifth year senior. He's still here, and I could walk right by him on campus and he'd ignore me. I've tried to say hi before, and just get the cold shoulder. Boy am I glad he moved into another room in the dorm about three weeks into the year last year. Guess he's a sixth year senior now...
Man that dude sounds like an ass hole! Your own roommate! Well you can come and hang out with my old drunk ass if you want.
I think it was just a light-hearted ribbing Manny, if A-train's thread is the one you were reffering to.
