All Lin gotta do is work out with Kyrie Irving this summer. The two can trade skills. Lin can get Kyrie's handle and scoring feel. Kyrie can learn D and vision/ passing.
So bull & Clyde are all liars then & know absolutely nothing? Because how many have I heard them say that teams are going to leave you wide open until you prove that you can consistently hit that outside shot. Not even just about Lin, said the same thing about parsons & patt too earlier in the season. Every damn game really? Remember when you said before that Lin's drives hardly ever result in anything meaningful.

Vid posted in game thread... Three plays I want to note from this video: 1) 1 min: Lin's first 3 pointer. Defender closes in on Lin. They don't leave him completely open. There was no precedent for him shooting 5/8 at this point since it was his first shot. Curry still closes in on Lin when it looks like he'll shoot. 2) 2:57: Lin pump fakes at the 3 point line when the defender closes in on him and blows by him because Lin has an excellent first step. I want to see more of this because as seen by the clip, it gets Jeremy an easy lay-up. 3) 3:50: Lin at the 3 point line creates space and drives past his man again due to his speedy first step. Gets into an easy stop and pop situation. And I think it's fair to say that Lin does shoot well off the dribble. I want to see more of this as well But all these opportunities are created by defenders closing in on Lin at the 3 point line. They are there every single game. I just want to see Lin react the same ways he did tonight every night and be consistent. He can be an amazing player if so. And no I don't expect him to shoot 5-8 from 3 every night.
I think your reading comprehension has gone by the wayside. I just provided video evidence of the exact things i've been saying for weeks if not months. If I could find more Lin highlight vids I'm sure they would be littered with more of the same. Defenders do close out on Lin every single game. Not sure what Lin's drives resulting in anything meaningful have to do with that. That's irrelevant to my point right now. But since you brought it up, for many games that statement was true. Lately though, Lin has been playing more aggressive and looking to make things happen rather than passively standing idle. Good things have come out of this. Not too hard a point to understand.
Steve Nash is his first 4 years only averaged around 4 assists, 7 points, 2 reb, .5 steals. Lin is doing much better. Im not saying LIN is NASH but damn. Give Lin like a couple of years before you jump off
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EayD7e1J2eE&feature=youtube_gdata_player Just had to prove you wrong...
So he's had 2 successful crossovers in his career and about 5 attempted crossovers that almost resulted in turnovers in last night's game alone, how does that prove me wrong exactly?
In the last 6 games, Lin is averaging 16.3 points, 7.8 assists, shooting 53 percent and more importantly has made 10 of his last 21 three pointers.
If Lin can get his average up to at least in the high 13's for points and low 7's for assists and his shooting percentage to .45 and 3 point percentage to .33 when the season is over, I'll be satisfied, not overjoyed, but satisfied since I'll take into account he's only 24, first full year as a starter and learning to play with Harden.
alright, alright lin haters, close your eyes... in 29 games against teams over .500, lin is now inside the top 10 in efficiency. only the usual suspects are ahead of him. http://www.hoopsstats.com/basketball/fantasy/nba/playerstats/13/2/eff/13-1
LMAO my reading comprehension has gone on the way side? Rich They do not close out on him every single game all the time bro that is just patently false. You don't have to believe me, but you do have to believe the Houston commentators. They have said repeatedly about Parsons, Patt & Lin that until you can prove that you can hit those outside shots consistently they will leave you wide open. Another poster also said that it makes basketball sense to sag off a quick PG because shots at the rim are far more efficient shots than 3's & teams would rather give up threes than allow a player to attack the cup. And his drives always result in something positive that is why Morey wanted Lin in the first place Lin is one of the better PG's at setting teammates up for shots at the rim or 3's. Morey prefers attacking guards who go north south as opposed to east to west, Morey said that publicly. But believe what you want to believe nobody will stop you.
Shhhhhh ... you're going to open a can of worms on Lin stats vs sub-500 teams ... it'll be the proof of Lin's inconsistency
It is true the Lin plays better when the ball is in his hands more often. It's also true that his game looks a lot better when he's hitting his jump shots. If his jumper isn't going down that is 1 extra defender allocated to help out. Also, Lin get's in trouble when he picks the ball up after getting into the paint (he needs to watch Nash and Paul) and when he pulls away from contact in the paint. Bottom Line - Lin is a great asset only if he hits the jumper consistently, because on this team he will get plenty of looks and opens up the ability to get easy shots at the rim
that's just not paying attention to basketball. If dalembert is a great asset if he hits his jumper consistently. What lin does is play POINT, which has more to it than what some want to believe. 12.5/6.2/2stls/and almost 4 rbds, that puts him in 12th among point guards. All while only taking 10 shots. Like maury, I believe he's been solid. wanting 19 points and 9 assists while only having limited usage % is going to cost you 15 mil a year.
If we look back at the posts, many wanted 16/9 out of Lin this year. Chris Paul is at that this year. The world seems to demand more from Jeremy than most other players -- he already is very good compared to how much experience he has. Give him some time.
