Agreed. Kidd is amazing. Off the court he is a b*stard but his ability on the court as a floor general is tremendous.

Kyrie's stats are actually REALLY good for a rookie, especially APER-wise. He's only 19 years old too.

If we look at someone like Westbrook, he was just terrible his first 2 years. But since then he's really blossomed, and look at him now he's on the Olympic team.

Maybe I just have a relaxed definition of upside because I feel like it's really hard to put a ceiling/cap on someone's growth, especially if they are in their 20's. But I'd say Westbrook could possibly be HOF-calibre. It's just too hard to absolutely rule it out.

Sure, I just found it odd that one of the players who took a sickening cheapshot (pulling the back of his head to the ground) would now be brought in to mentor Lin. And not really, because the knicks signed felton first. What a nuthouse. Good riddance.

Selfish is rather a generous. He could easily end up with "quitter." He really should be happy and it could be a lot worse!

I never watched them prior to this past season. Never had any interest in them until I started dating this guy. Now I know way to much about them. Lin blowing up honestly was a pleasant surprise. I knew he was good but never knew he was that good.

Two different arguments: you can have fantastic potential without necessarily being a HOF caliber player. There are endless examples.

HOF talk in any form at this point for any of those PG's mentioned is ridiculously premature. Let them play.

It was a hard foul. It was a dirty play but Not nearly as bad as you make it sound

And there were also moments where Melo picked Lin up when he was on the floor. Melo celebrating when he did something legit as well.

They signed proven PG in Felton who has chemistry with Stat for 3M per year instead of someone who clearly could not co-exist with Stoudemire and Melo for 15M 3rd year. Yeah, really bad decision.

Or, it was. He's very limited on both ends at this point of his career.

Shaq was the "Big Aristotle", "Superman", then "Shaqtus"

JKidd is the "The WifeBeater", "The Drunk", now the "The Mentor"

Kidd is Top 5 in history? I think that's also being trapped in the moment.

Magic, Stockton, Maravich, AI, Cousey, Payton, Isiah, and DJ.

What do they have to do with actually playing well together on the court?

I don't know about Top 5. But he is definitely a future HOFer.

What does Melo not going into huddles have to do with him not playing well together? It was statistically proving that they did play well together in small sample size.

Well we are in the "upside" thread. Everything is inherently a projection or a forecast.

Oh man, the Knicks are such a joke. I truly feel sorry for their fans. A lot of them are buying into the championship 'hype.' Some people will believe anything.

    Oscar
    Stockton
    Isiah
    KIDD
    Nash/payton
DJ is nowhere in this conversation.

Maravich and AI are shooting guards.

I think you severely underrate prime kidd
