Completely filled with hard evidence and logic! Congradz!

Tony Parker, even though injured, was an MVP candidate in season 2012-2013. Care to check what happened the night before? Not to mention the questionable refs and having played a lot more minutes.

Lin is in the top 25% of PGS

According to the Statistics you presented Lin is clearly an above average Point Guard. Since the numbers you are using are in rank order , one must use the median not the mean as the measure of central tendency.(Average). The mean cannot be used because it is calculated using math operations such as division whic can not be used with rank order data. Please consult a statistics book to varify this, as I feel you may not belive me.
The median separates the data set, in to top 50% and Low 50%. Thus, there will be 50 Pg's above the median and 50 below if the sample is 100 point Guard' This places Lin in the top 31 of Point Guards at his lowest ranking, (FG%), as he ranks 31st of the 100 point guards and in the top 7 in steals. These stats indicate that Lin is an above average Point Guard. In rank order data the lower the number the higher the rank. Thus, a rank of one would mean the best. Thus, LIn is 14th best in total assits and 21st in assits per game.
That is, Lin ranks above 86 point guards in total assits and above 71 PG's in assits per game.
With all due respect I think you had some difficulty interpreting the statistis you persented. BTW ,I have taken three stat courses on the master and doctoral level.

Jeremy is either great or awful on any given night, so cherry picking games for either side is disingenuous.

He played poorly last night but I think a lot of the criticism is due to emotion from losing a must win game. Before this game he has played solid especially the previous 10 games or so. Blaming him for last night's loss is asinine.

He was playing well until McIdiot pulled him with a 4+ minute in the 3rd. When Lin was 'benched', the Rockets were up 12 and playing TEAM BALL.

    As soon as he sat.

You're right. Median is the right word. Thanks for the correction.

I've also corrected some spelling you've written.

These scores are his BAM (Basic Athletic Measurement) scores and they are high related to performance in Basketball. All NBA teams use these measurements in order to predict performance in the NBA and up side potential. These scores are highly correlated with basketball success.

Pull up Raymond Felton and Jeremy Lin's stats this year if you want a real laugh. I think Felton sucks, but stats are stats right guys?

If he were not Asian, perhaps he would have fewer haters among other races. What unique story, what exciting brand of basketball.

Fans of a team tend to overrate the potential of their rookies, like Les Alexander overrating Royce White, Jeremy Lamb and D-Mo along with many other posters here. It isn't that sad, fandom bounds to be irrational, they are human, like your mother, is she completely accurate? Is it really that sad?

Lin ended the last 3 months playing above avg.

But his final stats put him at avg.

    Lin was avg.

    Parsons was avg.

    asik was avg.

nothing wrong with playing avg. with 3 first year starters
