Yeah, typical Lin fan with an inferiority complex. GL to you. How people can feel good about being a groupie is beyond me.
oh an inb4 being called for hypocrisy about my family: my mom is the one that's the basketball nut (unfortunately a Kobe/Lakers fan), my dad usually just follows along for something to cheer for or to keep her company.
Lakers fan huh? Jordan? Bulls? (not just Asians, the entire world) Yao? Rockets? Dude don't act like you know what you are talking about, when you don't.
Meaning all Asians were just bandwagon fans that gravitated to whatever the media fed them until they saw one of their own on Sportscenter.
Jeremy Lin must have been a bandwagon fan until he saw one of his own on Sportscenter. Then, he became a LOF. Sounds legit.
You really don't think it's pathetic to just root for a player in an American team sport because of race?
Incendiary. Seriously, this just inviting attacks and drama. I want to post kittens and puppies in this thread because you need more love. So here:
Sure, there is always a reason a fan likes a player and some of these players bring new fans to a sport franchise. Why are you so surprised?? Blacks who never followed golf or called it "white" man's sport, suddenly were in love with Golf and became huge Tiger Woods fans and were all over the local driving range. Again, there IS always a specific reason a fan follows a team, where he/she moved to a new city and start following the local team, parents followed a team, love a player who now plays for a different team, what does that have to do with bandwagon???? Get outta here, you are being stupid.
I never rooted for Yao (check my join date) or that other chinese player this season that went back to China. Have more puppy:
