When he lets the negative things bring him down, he beats himself up too hard. I wish he'd be more shot hungry. Up that swag and let that dragon blood flow so coaches and teammates can have more confidence in him.

I think he should just bring a razor blade to every game. And just cut himself every fourth quarter.

Actually Lin has smaller eyes than most asians. But his eyes is bigger than the small eyes Asian stereotype that Hollywood and the media put out there.

Is there any statistical proof that would back up a claim that Lin's eyes are bigger or smaller than the average Asian? At least height wise, we can say that he's taller than average for any race of male.

The small eyes are epicanthic folds or some people refer to as monolids. I don't think that's stereotypical, rather it varies.

Examples for smaller eyes (epicanthic folds) would be Daniel Dae Kim.

Others would be someone like Jet Li

Lin's are about average. His eyes only look small when he laughs or squints.

Epicanthic folds are different than mono/double-fold eyelids.

An epicantic fold is a type of fold where the upper eyelid covers the inner corner of the eye.

And while it's typical of most East Asians, there are other races that have it too:

Mono/Double-fold eyelids are about the crease in the upper eyelid area.

If you see the red circled areas, the guy on the right has a very clear "double" crease. Whereas the guy on the left doesn't.

I'm not sure what the exact statistics are, but I remember reading that around 50% of Asians have double eyelids, but it varies based on the specific ethnicity.

Also, if you look at Lin's eyes, he also has very clear double eyelid creases.

Soo... What are you trying to proof? Anyone's eyes are small when they smile or laugh. So do yours. If you think Jeremy has smaller eyes than most Asians, you must have not seen Asians with real, small, slanted eyes.

Lin had been pulled out of the game even when he performed really well.
Not saying he didn't try, I think as a player he couldn't possibly contradicts his coaches' decision.
In the Lakers' game was a very good example, McHale wanted to stick to his hero ball Harden ISO, he therefore pulled Lin about even he had 6 assists and made Asik and Smith like twin towers dunking over the Lakers. Until the hero ball failed, he was put back in the last 6 minutes and the momentum was swung to the Lakers.

Lin has so much to work on that it depresses me as a Lin fan. Hopefully we'll see a new Lin next season.

I never said Lin didn't have double eyelid creases, but he didn't always have them on both eyes either. I've seen that Wikipedia article on epicanthic folds and it's changed, and monolid and epicanthic interchangeably used.

The 50% is questionable, especially among East Asian as compared to Southeast Asians. I haven't seen a study or any kind of charts that backup that kind of claim, so the kind of claim that Lin has bigger or smaller eyes than most Asians seems more like speculation based on generalizations and depends on one's experience.

Lmao Lin threads. They're actually highly entertaining if you don't take a sports message board too seriously.

What I have learned so far.....

Someone needs to teach Jeremy how to shave properly......

He seems to miss a lot of spots

Or he's probably like my husband, doesn't really need to shave but once a week because it only sprouts here and there

    sigh AHD (Asian Hairless Disease)

That pic was from last year when he came to training camp trying to fight for his job.

    It happens, even to Yao.
