For your first point I listed several factors of why lins game was bad including shooting bad for a majority the game and missed free throws two things Kobe didn't do. I said any game where you do all of those is a bad game and Kobe didn't do that. You choose to only take the parts that fit you're argument. For the second part I have repeatedly said he was great over that stretch but had two subpar games. You are just completely misstating what I've said to make yourself look right.
9 Turnovers? Good god...this dude is a turnover machine. Got his points....but so did the Lowly Hornets from his TO's.
jlin7's lord decided to test him a little bit. folks, its all good. sunday church around the country is gonaa pray for him before the mav game. The lord will answer.
Give him a break guys, it's his first season in the NBA. People bound to make mistakes in the beginning. (last season didn't count)
Novak went missing with the other crew and Lin again with the to... If the dude can lower it and maintain his scoring it be another win....
really? Lin has 9 TO's and the knicks lost to the Hornets, and people saying: well, its only one game, he would do it better next time, if he didnt have those turnovers, the knicks would have win. If the rockets have lost against the hornets, and kevin martin would have the same numbers Lin had today, people will be blaming Kevin for the loss, and demanding a trade, and saying a lot of bad stuff about the rockets.
John wall had 6/over turnovers in about 20 percent of his games as a rookie, averaged almost 4 and over 4 this year. Lebron averaged 3.5 wasn't a pg and had quite a few 6+ turnover games....now jeremy lin is getting minutes for the first time in his short career and unexpectedly so, so he is doing ok in the offense that runs through him. He definitely has to improve and if it continues its going to hurt them bad, but his situation amkes it slightly understandable
Jeremy Lin is 23, John Wall was age 20, LeBron was was 19. Those are huge differences. By about age 24, 25 at the latest, most guys are pretty much finished products.
except for Chauncey's and post players. I agree about guards but not 25. Guards hit their prime at around 26 to 28. Post players around 27 to 31.
A kid in his second year that goes from playing in garbage time to running a team 35+ mins a game almost overnight is committing a lot of turnovers? What did you all expect?
how much pro experience do they have? heck lebron john wall have been getting ready for pros with aau and style of play since high school, he has been in the nba since 18, john wall 19. Jeremy lin is essentially a rookie in terms of game experience. He came in to a team without a offense he went to training camp for, got thrown into the fire and he made the best of it. He has A LOT to improve on, but hes been winning and done some amazing things...he defintiely nees to improve his turnovers, but his expectations and situation give him some rop with all of this. He is MUCH more efficient that John wall and Lebron in their rookie year given hes a PG averaging almost 50 fg percentage with over 20 points, that is just great....so he is still a heavy positive on the court, but yea with time I think he will improve his decision making and also when melo comes back, though their styles don't match, they are going to have to play more attention to the extra talent in JR and Melo who can create shots thus giving lin more room to work. So not too worried that this will last, but its just him adjusting, learning, growing since this is his first time at the helm
yep his name is Gustavo Ayón, he is doing good, he is becoming one of the best defenders with the hornets, today he had 13 pts, 11 rebs, 2 steals, 0 TOs.
Well is over, it was fun while it lasted. Lin SUCKS!!!! Back to the D-League. So does Lin get a contract like Sundiata Gaines or does he sign with the Shanghai Sharks?!?!
I feel sorry for you and those alike. Its going to be pain down the road this season watching Knicks for you guys. A bowl of rice will help a little. You are welcome.
In regards to the "shooting bad" comment, Kobe shot 45.5% from the field. Lin shot 45% from the field. And you also commented on Lin missing free throws in the 4th quarter. In other words, you're talking about clutchness. And if that's the case, wouldn't you agree that Lin's missed free throws are superceded by the fact that he hit the game-winning shot? Can't get much clutcher than that. Especially when you consider Kobe's numbers came in a loss? Very well, let's look only at Lin's Toronto game since that's the game we were talking about before: 27 points on 45% shooting, 2 rebounds, 11 assists, and 8 turnovers in a win. And Anfernee Hardaway's numbers in the 1995 finals: 26ppg on 50% shooting, 5 rpg, 8 apg, and 4 turnovers per game in 4 consecutive losses. You don't think its double standards to say that Hardaway had a HOF performance while Lin had a subpar game?
