You do realize its called clutchfans for a reason right? And for those of you with lp broadband I was joking . That's how I'm watching the games. Although I have the rockets on the smaller screen now.
Looks like the run is over. I think that Lin is probably better off being aggressive early and then passing. There's no point trying to find the pass after driving into the lane and being surrounded by 4 guys.
Game is pretty much over. I would like to see Lin try to pull a win out of nowhere again, while being 5 pts down. LOL
Knicks' spacing looked a lot worse this game. Maybe it's the result of trying to integrate Stoudemire or poorer outside shooting by the Knicks' perimeter guys, which allowed the New Orleans defender to cheat more. Or maybe the Hornets had a defensive strategy to neutralize the pick and rolls. Probably a little bit of everything.
Ref didnt necessarily have to call it, but I gotta blame Landry there. He obviously placed his hands on Marco's back then on his arms. Also just because this site is name clutchfans, doesnt mean only Rockets fans post here, as this site has long been known to have one of the better NBA dish sections on the web, with posters from writers like Kelly Dwyer as well as many knowledgeable fans of other teams.
I was listening to the radio broadcast and after the game ended, the announcer said "The Knicks finally found a chink in their armor." I personally found it hilarious, wonder if it was a deliberate choice haha?
10 missed FT and bad 3 pts shooting lost the game... 9 TOs by Lin didn't help as well... but at least they got close at the end which shows some effort... just too little too late. Lin was a closer for sure... tried to rise up at the key moment, just didn't work out this time and some bad calls against them at the end. Out of that 9TOs... how many are really Lin's fault? Novak just lost his shooting touch this game, maybe Ariza told the coach to close him down no matter what. BTW, Ariza is playing out of his mind this game. Lin is still getting his points in a pretty efficient rate... but 9TOs just a bit hard to swallow for a L.
Lin arguably got outplayed by Vasquez tonight. Still not a terrible game though, despite the crazy turnovers.
Though Lin had 9 TO's, 8 of them came in the first half and they were down only four. He hit every jumper and hit pretty much all of the 3 pointers (they hoisted 20 misses and made only 4). The rest of the way, Amare got RAPED on defense by this Vasquez pg, who is honestly the SLOWEST pg I have ever seen. For every point Amare scored he gave up 2 more. None of the role players that night were good. No role players + no defense from your highest-paid guy on the floor + TO's from your pg......and you've got a loss. Anyway, JLin with 26, 5, and 4 steals, and ofc 9 TOs. I wouldn't say it was an offnight for him. But NOH played him very tough.
