It's defending of Lin like this that annoys me. Nothing personal about you at all Shark so my bad for sounding rude at the beginning but Nash pretty much always has an assist to turnover ratio of about 3. Lin is hovering somewhere around 1.4-1.7 since becoming a starter which means Nash is being almost twice as efficient as Lin is. Lin is a second year player and I'd be shocked if it didn't get better but let's not excuse his turnovers by saying Nash did the same thing when that isn't true.
Nash was always under 3 really. Nonetheless, you have to remember when nash took over he was a veteran with many years under heis belt. Look at Lin in turnovers ratio compared to john wall and the like, he floursihes, given that htis his first year actually with minutes nad playing time he is doing great and is showing special signs
Decent for a second year player but not decent by normal pg standards especially if the person wants to be considered a distributing pg. That numbers has him in the bottom 5 for starting pgs I believe.
His first MVP year it was 3.5 and his second it was 2.99. Since joining the Suns he has only been under 3 twice and they were 2.89 and 2.99 It's not a bad number at all for a second year player getting his first real minutes.
Outside of the TOs he's got some really nice numbers. He'll be interesting to watch the rest of the season.
This is beyond Race and city. You are talking about a team with 2 guys making over 30 million dolalrs, and they were a disappointment, an d a kid who is not making a million, about to be cut by this team as reported, was cut TWICE this season, he was barely hanging in the league, nto to mentioned he didn't seem special physically, add that he is harvard educated as well, he is just a reall good feel story of a guy flourishing when the team got desperate, and he just took over, took a losing team to 7 straight games, dropped 38 on the famous lakers, hit a buzzer beater...I've never seen such an immediate eruption from a team and player out of literally left field. Its out of no where. If this was Louis Dale(the ivy league pg who led his team to sweet 16)and he is black because he is also undersized, with low expectations ,and he did this in say charlotte and took htem to where they are and won 7 straight games....hit a buzer beater, averaged 20+ and 10...it would be all over the paper, not quite as big, btu it would've taken the league by storm because its such a feel good story, both bc its a guard so not physically dominant, the ivy league factor, the being unerrated your whole life, and then playing like an mvp out of nowhere.... As far as ice house, I am convinced that he is Henry Abbot in disguise, basically sees the league as Lebron and the rest of the players, so basically he holds lebron's left and henry abbot holds lebron's right while he walks.
Went to watch the game tonight in MSG: the Arena is alive a loud despite a relatively boring and comfortable blowout win for the Knicks. Lin is for real. His play got sloppy in the 3rd quarter, but by then, the lead was 20 pts + and he had found guys for alley-oops and 3 pt shots all over the place to get the lead there. Dude makes lots of mistakes still, but they are ones he'll correct because he is Asian and, thus, smart. Perhaps more important than Lin tonight is the Knicks interior D really frustrating the Kings. Cousins in fould trouble didn't help. The best part of tonight's game? Kings PG Isaiah Thomas. Every time he touched the ball, scored the basket, or has his name called by the PA announcer, the Knicks fans booed him (I don't think it's personal, it's really his namesake that they were booing). Hilarious. A couple of Kings fans were sitting in front of us and cheered loudly for the Kings in the 1st quarter. As the Kings fell behind more and more, they left in the middle of the 4th qtr. People applauded their exit loudly.
Turnovers against crap teams don't hurt so much. Against quality teams it could be a different story.
http://houston.sbnation.com/houston...uston-rockets-kevin-martin-trade-ideas-part-1 even tho we kept saying that we were gonna get anthony but it didn't happen but ever since Jeremy lin went to NY and stole the spotlight from anthony. do you think this is good or bad
Right....because I've mentioned LeBron a lot in this thread, and noting that I think a guy is playing above himself or overhyped has anything to do with the Heat. If you can't discuss basketball without resorting to insult....lame ones at that....then let's just go on each other's ignore lists.
