No the problem with clutchfans is people like you that like to put words in people's mouths. I have repeatedly given Lin credit for what I thought was great play but when I comment on how two of his games weren't that great that makes me a complete hater. I never said Lin was fools good and I never said the kid wasn't good. You need to clam yourself down and read things slowly and properly because people like you always blow things out of proportion on here.
Mike James almost replaced Jeremy Lin CHICAGO -- Mike-sanity? Mike-tensity? More On The Bulls Can't get enough NBA news and notes? ESPNChicago.com has all the latest on the Chicago Bulls. Blog Not quite the same ring to it. But it was the grace of fate that kept Jeremy Lin with the New York Knicks, who according to Bulls guard Mike James were considering his release last month in order to sign Mike James from the D-League. Instead, with James confirming the speculation Tuesday, the Knicks held onto Lin and "the Lin-sanity happened." James was subsequently signed by the Bulls and re-signed to a 10-day contract Tuesday. "But you tip your hat to a guy like (Lin)," said James, a ninth-year journeyman who has played three games for a total of 25 minutes and 12 points since first signing with the Bulls to help fill the void after Derrick Rose injured his toe. "He took advantage of his opportunity and when he got on the court, he made the most of his time. "There's only a handful of stars that are born, the rest are made. So whenever you have an opportunity, just take full advantage of it. He's a living testament of never giving up on yourself and when that call finally comes and they put your name out there, well, then, all the work you've been doing to prepare yourself and all the faith you've had believing God will open doors ... the only thing that will separate you from it is opportunity." And James is not about to question fate. "Everything has a plan and purpose behind it," he said. "Everything happens for a reason. I'm happy for his success. I hope that he continues to do what he needs to do is keep it going. It's not what you did in this game, it's about what you're doing." Melissa Isaacson is a columnist for ESPNChicago.com.
I'm actively against the Knicks not Lin. I don't want to see him fail but if bad play by him makes our pick better then so be it. Nothing I said has been outlandish it's just not what everybody on here wants to hear. I have never said Lin will fail in the end so how exactly will him playing bad make me look smart? My entire point is don't overhype the kid.
Yeah they weren't godly numbers, but they were good numbers. Those aren't bad games dude. He contributes more than just scoring you know...
Looks to me like he is just stating his opinion. I don't understand why someone's opinion on Lin's play should be taken as a personal insult. It's too bad Boston lost to Detroit tonight. I'm getting very nervous that the Knicks could steal the 7th seed. ie not good for Rockets. BTW you should watch the Rockets play the Thunder it's a pretty good game.
Yeah he passes but he had a ton of turnovers and ended up with a not good assist to turnover ratio in either game. My opinion is that that is a subpar game for a pg. I'm sorry that disagreeing with you makes me hater. From now on I'll ask your permission before stating how I feel about things. That sound like a good plan to you?
For those who've been watching the Knicks for a while now, is Landry Fields off the roids? He looks much smaller this season with less muscle mass.
Yeah not good. Not making excuses but he had 1 going in the halftime, then accumulated 5 as a bunch in the 3rd quarter but they were all pretty much inconsequential considering the Knicks were 23+ the whole time. Definitely needs to fix that though.
I'm startin to get annoyed with Asian chicks at these games holdin up signs like it's a Justin Bieber concert or something, b**** please....
I think people fail to realize that he is putting up these numbers with the massive number of turnovers, and his team is still winning (half of them close games, the other half by good margin). I can only imagine how good he can possibly be once he starts cutting down on turnovers, and I'm sure that Mike D'Antoni also realizes this.
Those TOs can be high all they want if he has 13-14 assists. Sure it doesn't look good, but that's basically how it was for Nash when he won those MVPs. Not comparing the two, just using him as an example. Nash would get around 10-11 assists with 4-5 turns some nights. Worked out fine. Just can't have the 6 assist/8-9 turnover game, obviously.
