7 footers are rare. This is also why there are a lot of foreign 7 footers in the NBA but relatively few foreign point guards.

If he can average 18/6, I don't have any doubt.

But stop bringing up Yi, I haven't heard of anyone voting for him this year. Just being Asian isn't enough.

Slightly OT, forgive me, but I have to ask:

Why is Bibby not flourishing in the D'Antoni system? It wasn't long ago that he was a great point guard. What happened? I haven't been watching the games so I haven't seen him play in a while.

Thought i doubt it'll happen, I'd imagine it would be the end of the current voting system.

At least in Yao's case, he quickly became the clear cut best center in the west, but someone getting 18/6 in D'antoni's system making it ahead of Rose and Wade would be absurd.

So here is this guy named Ed Weiland who predicted the rise of Linsanity based on stats. What a massive prediction win for both the writer and the statistical approach too. just brilliant.

Most importantly, he predicted this TWO YEARS ago.

You keep bringing up Dragic's 24-pt quarter yet dismissing Lin's current performance as fluke. What irony.

I actually like Dragic and am happy to have him as our backup. And I am not claiming Lin is a better player right now. What I say is that Lin seems to have more potential and he is way cheaper. That should make keeping him over Dragic very obvious by Morey's MO.

Even though they didn't show the game here locally in MN I've got Linsanity!

You are obviously a Dragic fan, which is fine. But saying that he is "very, very, efficient" is a bit exaggerated, no?

He is shooting .459 (which is decent) this year and a .438 career. His .368 career 3pt shooting aren't that impressive either.

Lin, on the other hand, shot .515 in 5 games playing heavy minutes. I don't think the shooting % can sustain. But don't exaggerate the numbers when they are not there.

Lin's cause of turnovers are sign of aggressiveness..as long as he gets the job done, and as long as his turnovers don't equal his assists, it's fine..he is the main reason why NY is winning.

The homers on this board man. I don't think Dragic can carry a team on his back like Lin is doing.

You call the people on this board "homers", then come with AN OPINION. That makes sense....

Anyway, with NYK, he could. Dragic is aggressive like that. Can shoot the ball at a pretty good clip, drive the lane, good passer, you name it. I don't think you can dismiss how good Dragic can be. He can start in this league.

Some of his turn overs come when he tries doing the right thing, like threding the needle in a crowd. With more practice with his teammates getting know where they like the ball, I expect his to will go down. Up until last week, he was maily run as practice dummy in the scrimmage.

46% FG and 37% 3pt is pretty solid imo. Dragic's assist to turnover ratio isn't that great though.

No. I am a fan of the Rockets. Then I am a fan of basketball. Shooting .459 isn't just decent. That is very efficient for a guard. There is no other way to look at it. In February alone, he has shot 476%, which is still a larger sample size than we have seen of Lin. Goran dropped 24 in a quarter on the Spurs in the playoffs. It isn't like he can't fill it up. You think Goran turns the ball over too much? Try amassing 20 turnovers in your last 3 games alone.(Jeremy Lin)

Since all we have on Lin is 4 games against bottom 8 defensive teams and a visibly tired lakers team, I highly doubt Lin's numbers ever come close to being this high again. Ever. To add to that, he played one other game of meaningful minutes in which he went 3-9 in 20 minutes. To come to any conclusion that Jeremy is already better than Goran is so unrealistic it is laughable. Please don't embarrass yourself.

I love how everyone is so eager, (for whatever reason) to label Jeremy the next big star after a hot streak against bad teams. Then when he goes 8-24, it's a fluke. Or he was tired, as if the Lakers who are on average 10 years older than him, weren't tired after an overtime game the night before, or leaving out the fact that Minnesota was on a back to back as well. He was given way too many shots, way too many minutes and he turned the ball over way too much. I like Jeremy. It's a nice story. I'm just being real. Dont compare him to the NBA elite. He isn't even as good as Dragic. Lin could be a decent player down the road, but come on now......
