even if that's the case, Rondo would still come up big... Rondo is the reason the Knicks lost today...
If you'd watch the game, Baron had the same amount of TO and was getting outbox by Rondo so NO The Knicks still would've lost...
well up to this point, id say he's no all star but better that than davis only because he's a better scorer and willing to drive into the paint. Lin seems a little unsure in the last games, perhaps fearing tos. with that said. what the hell is going on with stat!?? 20 mil a year man.
i sincerely wish well for Jeremy. but today, they realize a limit -- they are no contenders. even with their otherwise stacked roster. should be enough to start thinking about short-comings of the guard position for the knicks.
Those guards were playing against one of the best defensive PGs in the NBA. Rajon Rondo. I mean seriously? Lin has played bad against Chalmers and Rondo both are elite defenders. Does that make Lin trash? Apparently Clutchfans logic dictates yes.
he showed flashes of his previous stellar play at the end. the celtics played him well and didn't allow him to penetrate with ease. he's still a rookie. JR Smith was MIA in the game.
The Knicks should have won this game. High difficulty 3 by Pierce and great game by Rondo, but Knicks almost beat the hot Celtics at Boston. No worries for Knicks- they and Lin'll be fine.
Unfortunately Lin's magic run ends here. I think he will average pretty much much the last 3 games for the rest of the season. 10-12ppg and 5-7 assist. Just enough to be a serviceable back-up and to start on a certain team with the right system. I will definitely start him over Baron though and I believe he will limit his TO to 4 a game.
PG's have bad games. It will interesting to see how he bounces back but he is hardly done because he was dominated by Rondo.
This is an overall solid post.....but I saw a few things I wanted to correct (sorry to nitpick) 1. Most Africans taken in the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade never saw the U.S. the majority went to the Caribbean and present day Brazil. 2. In addition to coming from Western Africa a large number came from Central Africa. Those coming from central Africa specifically played an important role in the Haitian revolution. Just wanted to clear that up.......otherwise a solid well thought out post.
For Lin, I think the hype overtook some people, like with Tebow. Though, Lin is actually very capable of being a really good player for his position over the span of his career and being towards the top. Though, people tend to be a prisoner of the moment, while it was a bit premature (even by the end of this season) to be crowning him a top 5 point guard. Same thing with Rubio or Irving. Unless, they do something extraordinary over the course of season. You have to wait and see.
Baron had a few nice plays but his turnovers were worst than Lins in my opinion. Lin's turnovers were an offensive foul and some others were him with a decent pass that his teammate couldn't catch and tipped out of bounds. Baron's led to fastbreaks on the other side.
