Well, at least Jeremy Lin wasn't Vietnamese. Every paper would be "All I do is Nguyen" and there would be no variety.
From the realgm knicks board: "Jeremy Lin: 19 pts, 13 ast, 1 TO. Only other player this season to finish with at least 19, 13 & 1 TO or fewer is MVP Derrick Rose."
Impressive, then again it was against the Cavs... Unless he can do it against the Heat, now that would be elite stuff...
Not saying Lin's on the reigning MVP's level, but Derrick Rose put up those numbers against the Bucks...just saying.
just my two cents.. during the 7 game winning streak Lin was playing out of his mind but at an LINSANE tempo. He just couldnt keep that up with out burhing himself out.. SInce Melo is back and they got JR he is starting to learn how to play more controlled for a whole entire game. WIth the way he played today he can easily get his 19pts 10 assits a few rebs/steals a game. That right there is pretty damn impresive for any PG.

Looks like it's Lin vs Lebron for Eastern Conference player of month and Westbrook vs. Parker for the West. http://www.nba.com/awards/2012/
Lin is playing on the same if not better level than Kyle at the moment. However, he has the personnel to get his 10+ assists every night. Give Kyle a Novak, Tyson, JR, Amare and Carmelo and he would be averaging the same.
Except Lin has been playing for 2 weeks. Lowry is a veteran playing for over 5 years. It's amazing an undrafted, waived twice player is putting up same or better numbers than a 5-year veteran, on his 1st day as a starter.
I agree, it's not really that hard to rack up assists in that system with those players Didn't Felton average 17 and 9 while he was there last year and without Melo.
Hard to believe but it's been nearly a month since that Nets game when he finally got real minutes. Also, opening night for the Knicks was 12/28 so he's been playing at a high level for nearly half the season so far.
Felton was already putting in almost the same numbers at Charlotte. When he was getting 38 minutes, he was putting up 14.5 pts and 7.5 assists for Charlotte. In NY, he added an extra FG and 1.5 more assists. He went from 45.9% FG and 38.5 3pt% to 42% FG and 32% 3pt in NY. He may have been on a hot streak in Charlotte, though. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/raymond_felton/career_stats.html Chauncey Billups put up only 5.5 assists in that system with the same players. If were to put up double digit assists average in NY, he would have needed to double his minutes to 60 minutes a game, basically. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/chauncey_billups/
Except that Felton been in the League for 6 yrs and Lin only half a season as a starter???? Lin would smoke Felton easily...
