Hopefully this will shut up the Linsanity permanently. Talk about bad coaching. When you suck that badly you should sit. Game could have been much closer if Novak was playing more and less Linning.
here's the bad game everyone's talking about. now its up to him to either bounce back, or just be a one time thing..
If the rest of the league can manage to defend him like Miami did tonight, maybe. Doubt that many teams can. The Miami Heat is just the best team in the league. As far as substitution... the Baron/Novak combo was OK for a while, but that lineup was running out of gas (and out of shooting luck). There was little that the Knicks could do. Not enough firepower on the roster.
This game is good sign for us, because as it seems Anthony and Stoudamire have no interest in stepping their game up. So I guess if this continues, Knicks will win games if Lin plays his game, and will lose those where Lin is shut down.
Mentally he's not ready. The guy only play well when there are fans behind him but can't seem to handle pressure well at all in a someone else building.
It would be very unfortunate if now the "critics" will come out in full force to slam Lin. He's a very good player, but he just faced the best perimeter defense and team in the league. Drose gets shut down by this team many times too. Sucks the media built him up, and now many will try to bring him down. Hopefully he stays strong mentally and continue to grow. He did look scared tonight.
This is Lebron's Super Bowl, he said this the biggest TV game of the season. With a lot of eyes on this game, it is Heat showing off their cannons. Just let the Heat have a few byes in the Eastern Conference playoffs because it is a waste of time.
Folks here love going from one extreme to another. From the saviour to the scape goat within 2 hours. The reality of the situation is that Lin as a player is somewhere in good-very good range if he can keep it up. As a neutral observer this is what I have seen from him in last few days: -good court awareness -ability to get inside the paint -not afraid of contact in the paint -good at running pick and roll plays -a decent jump shot -decent at defense -very turnover prone Just because he had a terrible game against the Miami Heat, the team that went to the Finals, does not change all that. Miami's backcourt defense consisting of Lebron, Wade and Chalmers is going to give anyone problem when they lock up on you. They were giving him the All-star treatment and double teaming him at the top of the key off of the pick and roll. And we all know what happened to Lebron James in the finals when Dallas played him this way.
