As long as he is allowed to go to his right, and drive all the way to the basket. If he has to pull up and shoot, it's likely a brick. If he has to finish to his left, it usually doesn't turn out positive.
The Rox are just a mess at point guard and they need to continue looking for point guard help either at trade deadline or off season. Lin is not the answer. He's been exposed for the journeymen he is and now he's looking like a sorry journeymen. Like I said in game thread I was excited about Lin coming, considering they couldn't keep either Dragic or Lowry and thought he could possibly give close to what they did but Lin sucks. It's obvious at this point Linsanity was a fluke.
Jermey lin is a horrible starting point guard. We need to get harden some back court help, or somehow find a way to fix lin's shot. The man cannot hit a jumpshot to save his life. I get frustrated when i think of how potent our offense could be with dragic playing beside harden.
Jeremy needs to be a backup pg, playing against less strong second units. But thanks to Morey, he's now the most expensive backup in the league. Very hard to trade. He would be good as a backup too. As a starter, especially on a team without experienced veterans who could cover for him, he's average at best, bad at worst.
This is great - 3 simultaneous threads bashing/complaining about Lin. Let's keep it going! WHOOOO~!!!
Lin seems not be 100%. He shoudl be allowed to come off the bench and play back up minutes till he gets his health and game back.
He's indeed unstoppable if his deceleration is shot to hell as someone posted. Anyone has a source regarding that? Hopefully, it's not someone making up some craps to excuse Lin's for his lack of shots in the paint. Deceleration matters in stop and pop as well as changing direction in a crossover or during a drive to the lane. Also might be why he's been able to guard bigger guards but have some trouble against quicker guards blowing by him. Don't want him to overexert himself if he's not ready, tearing an ACL or something. If that's the case, maybe he should just not play and work on his leg muscle instead of these spot up craps he's been throwing up. If it's not, bench him anyway.
Sorry to break it to you guys, there's no super secret injury keeping Lin from being a super great pg. He is who he is.
In Moreys head he is thinking of ways to trade Lin. Morey isn't dumb he knows that Lin isn't a championship point guard. Hopefully some team sees his marketing potential and takes him
You know what bro, I'm kind of hoping he is injured. It would mean he could get healthy & play better.
This is exactly what I was thinking. I don't see Lin finishing out his contract in Houston. The problem is it's going to be hard to trade his contract. His marketability is not worth it because he sucks and doesn't add much to a team at this point. I'm just hoping some how, some way, the point guard situation can be resolved. It's too important of a position to leave as is.
I heard Morey on the radio last week and he said that Lin can't decelerate yet because of his injury, he can accelerate but not decelerate properly. In fact Morey said they have a machine that measures a players acceleration and that Lin accelerates faster than any player they have ever measured. Lin wasn't the only one with problem on the floor tonight. The defense as a whole was the reason we lost the game. People have to realize that Lin is still coming back from knee surgery and that it takes time. I still think he has great upside.
Yea, let's trade him to a team that complements his playing style and have shooters around him. Watch Linsanity return and I'll be the one LMAO. Maybe Morey is on the phone with the Lakers finalizing the deal.
Morey needs to sell as soon as December 15 gets here. Remember, Lin’s contract makes it harder to trade as time goes on because of the way the salary payments are structured. While we’re paying $25M for 3 years, a team that got him in year two would owe 2yrs/$20M…or in year three 1yr/$15M. Honestly if we can trick the Jazz into giving us Mo Williams' expiring we need to take it and run. Gives us a stop gap who can hit a wide open shot and opens up more cap space to put actual good players around Harden.
See that's the problem with some of the LOF's. I'm a fan of Lins and I think he will end up being a very good point guard for the Rockets. But You on the other hand are saying that you will laugh your as# off if the Rockets make a mistake. Maybe you should be a Rockets fan and a Lin fan.
this knee surgery talk has got to stop. lin is struggling with his shot and is playing in the system which is not made for him to prosper. it's that simple.
