Beverley is pretty much better at everything now that he has developed a reliable three point shot.

I love how heated Jeremy Lin threads get pffbahaha. Is he an NBA player? Yes. Is he a star? No, he's a 2nd or 3rd string PG, 3rd on a title team. he used to play for the Rockets... was he considered an offensive focal point? Yes. Is that grounds for near decade-long discussion? No, because I could say the same about a hundred other players. Ariza was supposed to be an offensive star in 09. Move on.

Well, Jeremy has 1 more 2nd round win than the Rockets do at the moment. :)

Beverley was always a better three point shooter than Lin. That was never in question. But Beverley doesn't really play PG anymore...he starts as a SG with the Clippers and is a 3-D guy, which others here correctly point out that his main value is on defense. Is he better than Lin now at everything? Certainly yes if you are looking at their performance this season (or rather, look at their performance after Lin signed with the Raptors)...I think that a major reason for that is because of all the time that Lin has missed in the prior 2 years as well as just dealing with a serious injury. But if you look at their careers, Lin has been a better PG than Beverley. I am perfectly willing to acknowledge that Beverley might be a better 3-D guy than Lin is as a PG, and that for some teams and situations, a great 3-D guy is more attractive than an above-average PG, but there's no really valid way to say Beverley is a better overall PG.

Obviously a LOF doesn't understand basketball.

Teams determine who is the best starter on their team at PG.
And then who the 2nd and 3rd string players are.

    GS= Games Started, G= Games

As you can tell by the stats, the only time Lin ever got to start a full season was with the Rockets.
    Then he later got demoted.

One is a STARTER, the other has been constantly demoted or traded.

    Patrick Beverley as PG

It's not fair to Jeremy to compare him to Patrick Beverley. They're just different caliber players. I think a more fair comparison would be Michael Carter-Williams. A case can be made that Jeremy isn't much worse than MCW.

Just because Basketball-Refernce.con lists Beverley as a PG doesn’t mean he plays PG. He’s currently listed as a SG on the Clipper’s depth chart, and Harden played PG for D’Antoni before CP3 arrived. And both the Rockets and the Clippers primarily use Bev as a 3-D guy.

    LOL! Ouch!

Yup. Pat is better. Plain as daylight for everyone to see.

No amount of excuses by LOF is going to change that.

Airemy is a one tricky pony. He wants the ball in his hands to run pick and roll plays under one gear. Problem is he has terrible handles and piss poor decision making, and melts under pressure. That does not make him a "better PG". That just makes him a shitty PG lol. Those are all terrible traits to have as a PG. Therefore, no team worth any ambition is going to give him the reigns to the team. Which is also why he has played for some really bad teams (as a bench player) and as soon he joined a good team, he cant sniff any court time.

Pat on the other hand, starts for a good team that made the playoffs in a tough western conference. He is a two time All defensive team, plays with passion that gets his team wins, takes much better care of the ball than Airemy, shoots better than Airemy, and does not shrink under pressure like Airemy.

PG, C, PG, SF, F, whatever label you want to give Pat, every single coach and player in the NBA would still chose him over Airemy the scrub.

I'd say Bev is as much of a point-guard as Lin.

What the LOF doesn't understand is GS = Games Started

    Bev started 49
Lin started 4, that's for two teams 4 starts

Starting point guard > bench point guard

How's this even a discussion??? Beverly is heads and shoulders above Lin in every single aspect of the game.

Most of your posts in different threads are about Jeremy Lin. Joined only a few months ago too. This is most likely a LOF or yoeddy's troll account.

Lin is still third string in the playoffs. What are Beverly and Harden doing?
