I am a Lin fan, no question. As such, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But I am also realistic about him. I have never claimed that he should be an all-star...quite the opposite, I'm a fan of his in part because he has always been an underdog, overcoming a lot of things (including a limited skillset) to make it this far in the NBA. Regarding the Rockets, it's not that I don't like them...but I admit I am not a fan of Harden (the person...Harden the player is MVP-calibre) and I'm not a fan of Morey.

And yes, I agree (and have said before) that Lin has been playing poorly since joining Toronto...it would be asinine to say anything otherwise. Tho I will say that while his scoring and playmaking has been poor, his defense has been above expectations (partially because expectations are generally pretty low). I'll also say that Toronto is by far the most talented team he has played on since entering the NBA...so maybe you are right, and in this context his talent is not measuring up. Having said all of that, as a Lin fan I think this is some kind of slump, as he has clearly played far better than this for almost all of his 9 year career...so the continuing bashing of him like he's played like this for most of his career is not fair at all.

I am not making any excuses for him (and I never have). He's not playing well, and he's got a small window to raise his game and earn his playing time.

don't you think Harden overcome a lot of things - asthma, stamina, weight, not atheletic, etc. to make it this far in the NBA?

James Harden may go to strip clubs but at least he isn’t a passive aggressive, mentally fragile man with confidence issues. James isn’t a coward, doubts only fuel him to be better. He plays hurt, he constantly improves and learns from failure.

That tells me a lot more about a man than whether he likes watching naked women.

I just remember when he first joined all the chatter about his dating strippers and such...thought it was a bit low-class. Also, he has never come across to me as a team leader but more as a bit ego-centric. That was the impression I had...but as a player, there's no question of his talent.

I agree. And that's one of the reasons why I am a fan of Jeremy Lin. He has faced discrimination in his basketball career at every stage of his career prior to the NBA and has stepped up to overcome it all to have a good career against all the odds. Can't be a coward with confidence issues to be able to achieve that, especially with a limited skillset. He has even overcome a potential career-ending injury that has ended the careers of many other NBA players. He has never backed down in his pursuit of becoming a better basketball player, and he has kept his down-to-earth qualities and used his fame to support good causes.

This tells me a lot more about a man than whether he likes watching naked women, too.

I think he's a fan of Lin not because of basketball reasons, but joined team sites to suppress team fans discussions of his hero. You can find an excuse to dislike any player that's not your favorite player.

I seriously doubt Strip Clubs affects any intelligent basketball fans discussion on actual basketball.

Michael Jordan had a mistress , didn't negate his basketball skills.

Great for him overcoming all those hurdles.. it's his delusional fake fan base that is super annoying. Some are secretly happy that Lowry got hurt but too bad for Lin it looks like his window has pretty much closed if the last game is any indication. Some thought he was an upgrade over Vanfleet but Vanfleet has been balling and Lin has been sucking. Even with Lowry out he only got 15 mins. I see him out of the rotation once Lowry come backs.

You are the one who brought it up, so you should do the research.

My goal is to surpress discussion about Lin? Why would I even be here if that was my goal? I am here because it's fun to talk about Lin, and this is a very active forum about him.

Yup, I'm sure they do, too. I tend to like the ones who don't make a big habit out of it...and my impression of Harden was that it was a bit of a habit. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the impression I had of him.

Yes, agree...those delusional fans are terrible. I don't see any of those here, tho. And yes, I agree with you...if he doesn't get out of this slump before Lowry gets back, his minutes will really drop and he will have missed his window with this team. I've posted this before, so its' not news to me.

D Angelo Russell became an all star
    He’s with the Nets

They dumped Lin to the Hawks

His fan base would join many team fan bases sites even though they are not fans of those teams

    Many accounts for many sites

The real reason he hates harden is that he is significantly better than Lin

Had nothing to do with strip clubs
And who really knows what Lin does in his private life vs his media controlled image

    It’s jealousy

I like Kyle Lowry. He is significantly better than Lin, too. How do you explain that?
