You forgot immediatley after he committed that idiotic turnover he was beat off the dribble by Lillard on the baseline. By beat off the dribble I ofcourse mean inability to keep your man in front of you when the balls in his hands How do you commit a dumb turnover and then let your man blow past you off the dribble down the stretch?
So, playing most of the 4th quarter he had 1 TO and got beaten off the dribble one time by Lillard... do you expect that Lin will NEVER get beaten off the dribble? Do you hold Beverley to the same standard? Waiting...
Who the fuark is Ido Amir and why should we care? Stop posting tweets of irrelevant unheard of people.
No point debating that. Pre-game : Lin is covering Mo Williams? He's going to light him up! Post-game : Sure, he shot 1-6 but he's a scrub anyway. Folks have a narrative that fit their personal prejudices. X player is good at Y. X player is bad at Y. No different than the Denver game... -Lin gets put on Brooks "OMG, Brooks is going to light Lin up!" -Lin forces 2 critical TO's on Brooks to save the game. (crickets)
Of course he does. Every time Lillard beat someone off the dribble, it was Lin. Beverley never got beaten off the dribble. Remember he said that Lin was repeatedly beat off the dribble in the fourth by Lillard. Then again, he was probably watching the game from some crappy stream and wasn't able to identify which players were which.
Torocan, no point of arguing with these guys. Let's hope for a Rockets win on the second game though.
Don't compare Lillard to Williams please. Lin did his job, but people are trying to make Lin seem like a better defender than Bev. And why people I mean that one dumbass on twitter.
Nah no way i'm comparing Lillard to Williams. I'm just saying that Lin did HIS job holding HIS man, that's all. But yea, as a Lin superfan, even I disagree that he's a better defender than Bev..
Good to see Lin stepping up in Game 1. He played with much better composure than I expected early on in the series. I was particularly impressed with his defense and awareness on the court. His one of the bright spots in Game 1, and I hope this is just one of the many good games he will have in this playoffs. Let's not make this a Lin vs the rest thread pls. Ignore those trolls (LOH's). They are just a bunch of emo kids or kids that like to stir some response from other posters. Rockets need Lin to perform with the same confidence next game...I believe this game is a good building block for him to have a strong series and beyond.
With Bev out, I hope I'm wrong and Lin is a defensive showstopper. He's going to have to be. I did notice some of Bev rubbing off on Lin, for a few possessions Lin played harassing defense. With Lin's size it should be more effective.
Regardkess how bad Lin played, without him, this would be a mucch more urgly loss. Without Lin, Rocket goes nowhere!
I wouldn't have minded, but I don't mind Harden taking the last shot either. It's just that man he did it in such a bad way, and had such a terrible look at the rim. Let's objective here, Lillard is not easy to guard - and Bev's energy and defense is infectious and needed. Mchale made some poor choices on having Parsons and Jones on the switch to guard him. You have to give credit to Lillard having strong composure.
Some people are just hateful morons. Some are more invested in getting back at their imagined enemies (LOFs who allegedly think Lin is MJ) than their team doing well. I suspect many of them would secretly be ecstatic if the Rockets flame out of Round 1 at least partially because Lin plays poorly. Lin had an excellent game last night (Shaqtin' moment, aside). Without him, the Rockets would've been blown out in OT.
