I don't get how him saying Lin almost won us the game in overtime equates to him winning the game in regulations. I mean what? He said O.V.E.R.T.I.M.E and here you are shutting down his comment he made in passing and your supporting argument ask what Lin did in R.E.G.U.L.A.T.I.O.N. You're getting all butthurt and making a big deal out of this. Go sleep off the lost and let the anger pass, we'll get the next one.

No I called you out for losing it after one loss. I'm very optimistic! We're better than this team. LMA and Lillard had great nights, our best guys had poor nights, and they barely won. I'm very confident! Clutch City has seen much tougher odds than this and come out on top. This is nothing. Of course it would help if we had Dream out there. Haha

I got emotional during the game, but apparently that's not acceptable whereas being pessimistic about Lin isn't. Seriously dude had a decent game compared to the horror show that was Harden today and it's pretty noticeable how bad the LOF LOH **** has gotten.

I hate LOFs too but wtf? harden gets a free pass for not showing up, yet Lin regardless of play should be seen as a perpetual disappointment?

I'm not trying to bash you CometsFan but I'm starting to see some double standards here from a lot of people.

I think you missed the part he said overtime. Who said anything about getting to overtime? You're not very good at reading are you? Damn you're dumb.

    http://scores.espn.go.com/nba/playbyplay?gameId=400553097&period=5
106-111 Jeremy Lin makes driving layup
106-112 Jeremy Lin makes free throw 1 of 1
114-114 Jeremy Lin makes 10-foot two point shot
116-118 Jeremy Lin makes driving layup

Jeremy Lin scored 7 points in OT.

7 out of the 14 points the Rockets scored in OT.

That's 50%, so obviously he scored more than any other single player, isn't that correct? Easy math (even for you).

So who would you say nearly "single handedly" won the game in OT for the Rockets? Harden? Howard?

Its one thing to say it was a team effort. But there's no way you can say another player (Harden or Howard) won the game in OT by himself. Lin is the closest to that claim.

This guy hates on Lin no matter what he does. Every thread he goes around b*tching about LOF. You're a damn LOH so please STFU. This place would be a much better place without your negative ass.

It's the common LOF tactic. Splice the stats in a favorable way and ignore everything that doesn't support the Lin played great narrative. They've been doing this for two years.

You can point out that Lin didn't play we'll in regulation, that's a fair point. I'd concede that. Just stop putting words in people's mouths. either that or learn to read.

Why don't we all direct this hatred towards the b****y and self entitled Portland fans? I want to punch them in the face right now.

In terms of OT, it's actually that far out of line.

In the OT, Lin scored 7/14 of the team's total points. He also pulled down 2/7 of the team's total rebounds (1 OReb, 1 DReb).

So 50% of the team scoring, a little under 1/3 of the team rebounds.
    Consider the following...

    Overtime

    Parsons - 0 points, 0 reb
    Harden - 0 points, 0 reb
    TJones - 0 points, 0 reb
    Beverley - 0 points, 1 reb
    Garcia - 1 point, 1 reb
    Howard - 6 points, 1 reb

Other team rebounds - 2 reb

    http://espn.go.com/nba/playbyplay?gameId=400553097&period=5

By my definition, that's basically keeping you in the game in OT single handed.

Glad you are atleast trying to be objective, even though you are obviously not his biggest fan. It's pretty clear who are "Rockets fans" who are harsh on Lin because they just want the best for the team, and those who just hate on Lin because they don't like him for whatever reason.

The funny thing is, when Lin plays bad CometsWin is able to hide behind his "true rockets fan" BS. Bashing on Lin and LOFs alike. But when Lin does well, he just looks like a sorry loser who's unhappy with his life.

yeah I was going through the game thread and I couldn't believe what i was seeing. So much tears and b****ing even though they won and its about the smallest ****. Crying about not getting any calls while Rocket was at a what 0:17 in the first half on free throw attempts? No wonder people on Reddit don't like portland's fans

I don't think you know what you're talking about. My issue was far less about his play which was quite typical of his play this season than it was the characterizations of his play. Lin had an average game, some good and some bad as per his usual. He gave us a shot to win in overtime but if he'd played even a little better in regulation we wouldn't have needed overtime, same for Harden and Howard. Anyway, until the next one.

This was better than last year. He had some bad moments and good ones this game.

Lin did his part in OT. Scored the most points, came up with key rebounds tapping the ball to Parsons, nearly getting the steal stopping a fast break. Those are facts. I'd say he influenced the game the most for the Rockets in OT. Care to argue?

But you didn't pressed that issue. You kept repeatedly pressing:

while no one said he got us to overtime

That's why most people argue with you. I think some of them aren't even Lin fans, they just have an issue with your flawed argument. Honestly, I don't like LOFs myself.

Its hilarious only CometsWin read that when nobody else did. He needs to go back and finish high school.
