Morey said no such thing. He just presented stats which you obviously skewed to mean Lin is a better player than Chandler Parsons.

 

Now I wonder what's really in your head, you kept putting words in my mouth, I said none of those things. Lin's injured, that explained his performance in the playoffs in general, I didnt say anything else nor did I imply anything else.

I agree that if he's cleared to play, he's expected to perform, but it is visible that he's not close to 100%, so the decision to let him play was ill-advised no matter who made the final call, if it was Lin, then it's on him. But to say Lin cost us the series is also irrational, he's a big reason why we lost, but not the sole reason.

 

The question is what playoff PER did Luther Head earn?

An argument can be made that he was the 4th, and an argument can be made he was the 2nd...but Morey specifically said he was the 3rd most important player last year (likely based on his private advanced metrics), so obviously the poster has some serious support for his opinion

 

I don't know what kind of stats you look at, but the last time I checked the point of the game is still to win, and if somebody is producing the third most wins on the team, he is the third best player in my book.

 

morey said that lin contributed third most wins to the team behind harden and asik and we wouldn't be close to making the playoffs without him. so skill-wise who cares but based on whatever data they're using to determine who's contributing to wins, he came in third on the team.

What is most strange is that when we're talking about something that is up for discussion someone would suddenly accuse others of being bias whereas his own opinion is fact.

 

I can't stand to read this asian blah blah blah crap. Who cares what race he is. He's the human race. Also, the stats show Lin is the 3rd best player.

Parsons and Lin have roughly the same points per minute, Lin kills him in the assist department which makes him vital to the team, he was easily the better defender this year which is a strength of Parsons. Not only does the scale lean towards Lin, it's not really all that close. Especially because of the position each plays.

I love this team and both players though!

I don't understand why everyone who supports jeremy lin is automatically asian, i consider myself someone who immerses themselves in a but of different races, cause u know judge people on character/dont be a racist bigot right? and alot of them didnt care for yao at all, its kg/kobe/tmac all that.

I think everyone would be much happier if we were in the two two given scenarios
1) Kept Lowry, had no Harden, choked in the playoff stretch again
2) Signed Dragic, crippled our ability to sign a free agent/trade Dragics mercenary ass

Frankly the team deserves better fans than people who go out of their way to crap on one of their own, regardless of race. What compelled you to look up how crap Lin was in a series where he was mostly injured? Have a cry, get madder, drop punt a puppie, cause Lin isnt going anywhere sans a CP3 style upgrade.
