Oi mate, he had the worst PER ever for any non-retired player who averaged his minutes. What's he doing out there? I gave him a fair crack at the whip but he played like a proper nutter.

Nuh uh! He should've been a warrior and toughed it out! Like I did when I played through a scraped knee in my intramural slo-pitch softball championship match!

Don't you know that sample size can never be too small when discrediting Lin? Conversely, sample size is never large enough to credit him.

It's almost as if some people have an agenda against him...

So now "well" is average? You have some low standards for your starting PG, you probably thought Lin played "well" for his regular season as well right?

Lin had some outstanding games, and some bad games. Overall, he had an acceptable regular season. He did "well" in light of the fact that many thought that he didn't even belong in the league. He at least proved that he's an average starter, and given his propensity to improve his game at a rapid rate, he should be solidly above-average soon enough.

Haha, I should take mental notes on these transformers you are talking about. I'm sure we have some yao fans on here still.

Whoops, just ran across one! pnr, you have been mentally noted as someone beyond LOF.

SIDE NOTE: Do we have any ROH on here?

P.S. on the side note: I'm starting to enjoy talking about the OH and OF labeling system.

    Equation for the helluvit: 1/2(LOF)^2 + (LOtG)*time>3years on CF - (ROF) = 0

    *Love Of the Game

For you math guys out there, any assistance on the structure of said equation would certainly be appreciated.

On CF, yes. But it only applies to Lin.

And I could argue he didn't do well in the light of all his fans, who expected him to play at or close to Linsanity level.

Bottom lane, he didn't play well.

It was adequate; not terrible but nothing spectacular. Considering learning a new system and being used less and coming off of the knee injury and playing a full season as a starter (really full season in general) he played well. He has a lot of work to do but he shows a lot of promise, which for the life of me have no idea why we can't all agree on this.

I hate, hate, hate seeing this excuse every time this topic is brought up. And to qualify, I think it is pretty outrageous to act as if Lins poor game 1 performance and subsequent injury is a reflection on who he is as player, but....

Are people trying to say its ok? That it doesn't count because everyone else was bad?

When Harden, Parsons, Asik or anyone else has a bad performance are people replying, "well Lin played bad too soo..."?

He played bad in game 1. No need for qualifiers and comparisons to the rest of the team. Always the same thing every single time someone comments on Lins performance, "yeah, but so and so did this so blah blah blah". Almost never an acceptance, almost always a deflection of criticism by dragging in other players to the discussion. Gets so old.

Yeah he really saw us into the playoffs in 2011! Oh wait. 5% chance of missing the playoffs, what happened to that? Dragic can choke on his new freaking television purchasing power. Never forgot his exit interview about houston, how it was family, how it was home, nekminit he goes to a team that traded him and a first round pick to Houston for a hobbled/disgruntled aaron brooks. It was like when you have an overweight girlfriend, she gets gasto and gets superhot then you want her back. Its pathetic. Hope he has fun battling for pingpong balls.

"Just give him the player option, they said", yeah no. Players options are freaking ****. If you know anything about Morey by now its that he isnt going to sacrifice flexibility/handicap himself for a player he found coming off the scrapheap in Phoenix.

I don't have very high standard for a young player. Too much expectation leads to disappointment. People who have high hopes for Lin have been called delusional, and supposedly that's where the hate began. Now I'm kinda level-headed and I'm somehow wrong. Don't let Linsanity get to you.

Another reason for hate, hate, hate?

It's a new, young and inexperienced team, they are bound to play bad in their first playoff game against a battle-tested opponent.

The thing is, when everyone played bad, why was a player singled-out for hate? THAT, my friend, is where the root source of your hate is from.

Hate --> singled out --> defend and question --> perceived as deflection --> hate. Never ending cycle of hate. It's healthy to break it sooner than later.

Yes, there is never to much to prove a point to some people.

This record reminds me of the time Vassilis Spanoulis tied the FG% mark by hitting 1.000 in that one game.
