Jeremy Lin sets record for 6th worst PER in the history of the playoffs

2 1/2 games with injuries. Give it a f'n rest. This Lin bashing way beyond annoying now.

 

So this is what all the fuss was about. I know Lin did not play as well as he was capable of, but that is awful!!!!!

I know he was injured, but even before the injury he was bad. He will get better...not to worry. However, the JLin love is unfounded for this playoff performance. If you voted "terrible" for this thread, you are not a rockets fan and certainly not basketball fan. Look at his playoff numbers.... he sucked.

He played bad the first game when everyone played bad. 1st half second game he played well. Then injured and still played in the third game, showed his toughness. Played poorly with the second unit in game 6 but played well with the starters. All in all, gained some valuable experience and he won't be a first timer again.

For a starter, averaging less than half of what you did in the regular season would meet my definition for sucking. So, if you thought this was a terrible thread because the OP pointed out that the numbers say Lin sucked in the playoffs, then you are only cheering for Lin because he is Lin.

He did nothing to help the team win. Even his best game was still bad for Jeremy Lin standards. Lin is more than capable of averaging 3 times as many assists, rebounds, steals and points. He could double his shooting percentage and 3 pt percentage.

If you thought Lin had a great playoff run, what in the world were you seeing? Please explain. What I saw was a potentially great player disappearing. He won't continue to do that in the future. Trust me on that. He's too good and too young to play like that throughout his playoff career.

Oh and if nothing else, look at his turnovers. A quick glance at his minutes per game tells me he averaged double the number of turnovers per minute played from the regular season.

 

I just set the record as the 3,965,231,197th best player to play basketball of any kind this past year.
