Interesting. But those stats don't include the games where he plays less than 25 minutes because he played poorly.
peace man -- we got rednecks in Singapore (south east asia) love them <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/vF5dqRL8f2w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
bingo.al he does is bash harden but with this moniker or name he thinks people cant see past his agenda. it's just sad.
Both are set to per 48 mins, so it does. A lot of those games were against bad teams like the Timberwolves (when they had their d-leaguers playing), Wizards and Bobcats. When he struggled it was because of his general inconsistency not because he is unable to perform well against the best. As i've said, his best performances have been against great defensive teams. Hopefully he can stay here long enough to grow some roots and feel stable in this system that he has worked so hard to adjust to. He was comfortable and playing so well by the end of the season, some people forget that. I don't think his harshest critics here would complain if he were to play like he did post all-star break next year, especially with his month to month improvement. He still had his flaws but he was producing about 17 & 7 per 36, shooting nearly 40% form 3, playing his best defense and getting better at everything Mchale asked him to (push the pace, keep his dribble etc)
loool Dwight will get his money in asia regardless of Lin. He dosent say to himself boy oh boy let me look around the league and see who can help me the most, oh yeah, that Jeremy Lin guy can HELP me the most so i'll go to Houston, no he says that stud james harden can help me so i'll go to Houston. Plus if Lin and Asik can net him his best buddy in Smith you think he would care much if Lin is gone?. hardly.
That's what Morey does, as soon as a player shows some potential and makes improvements, he gets flipped for another player or a draft pick, while his value is high. Rockets never have time to gel and develop chemistry. Morey is always looking to make sudden moves to shake up the roster, even if it was getting better the way it was.
You must not read the threads here much. There's no chance that the same people will continue to hate even if he exceeds those numbers next year. It is what it is. ABJ. But, as long as we do well, it's all good.
Oops. I meant there's no chance that the haters will give skin any respect even if he averages 17& 7 next year.
There are a few that have picked a side and just don't want to be wrong about Jeremy. For most of his detractors here though, I think his great second half is just blurred together in their minds with his rough start and playoff struggles. If he did it for a full season I think they would be comfortable with him. Right now it's difficult for them to know what to make of Lin because his highs are so high but his lows are so low. If they would isolate each month they would see how consistently and significantly he improved. His bad games became less frequent. I just hope for his sake he doesn't have to start all over again in a new system, he needs some continuity. Thankfully the skills he had to learn to thrive in this system should help him anywhere.
pointless statement, he is not going to be around. and if he stays, it's going to be interesting. I expect an improvement.
How so? Asik was making under 1 mil last season. The Rockets made him the biggest offer in restricted FA, a contract that had the national media all proclaiming it was overpaying. The Rockets coaching staff then proceeded to help Asik with his game, helped him lose some weight, and allowed him to be a double-double machine. Even if Asik is traded tomorrow, I bet he'll forever be grateful for this season. Without it, he'd still be a backup on the Bulls playing 20mpg and forever shadowed by Noah. Now, his next contract will surely be in the 8-digit range.
