What's he supposed to do, throw a fit and pout during games? Lin's a team guy. And if he wants the starter position back, then the best way is to just keep quiet and prove himself on the court.

    I appreciate him embracing 'team'

Bevs defense then Lin coming in very soon in 1st quarter. Foot on gas whole time.

    For Lin it means:
    -6th man of year
    -scoring punch for 2nd unit
    -starters minutes
-PLENTY of time with harden and howard
    -no pressure on Lin
-not relied on to be a spot 3 point shooter which is not his strength

Harden is the exception on first team, Asik is the exception on 2nd team.

Bev should start play his normal aggressive bball & if he gets early fouls called on him quickly bring in J.Lin.

I believe Lin will benefit from the 6 man roll

To Bad, I really like the way Beverley changed the game coming off of the bench.

I can already see the ESPN headline coming: "Rocket's Lin Benched"

Rockets fans may understand, but not the general media (--->ESPN). Lin just needs to weather the storm (or something smaller, puff?) of lazy articles claiming a demotion and eventually he'll hopefully start getting 6th man mentions.

    McHale:

He would be a douche to wait until Wednesday to iron this out. I generally try to get behind whatever he (and the front office) thinks is best, but I can't imagine that playing this out up to the deadline is good for anybody involved.

The second will benefit a lot. They need somebody that can create for them and Lin is the man. With harden and Dwight on, you don't have to create anything.

Reading Friedman's column regarding preseason stats, perhaps McHale wants to start games off by setting a defensive tone?

(SMALL SAMPLE SIZE) The Bev-Asik-Howard trio was devastating:

Its probably more than that. He gets to play Jlin type basketball. He is most effective when he is running the show but won't be able to do that as much with Harden as he will be dominating most of the play making for the first team. I truly feel that this will be beneficial to both the Rockets and Lin's career.

Good news. He'll flourish in that role.

Sixth man of the year candidate.

Changing thread title from "(CONFIRMED) JEREMY LIN is the Rocket's 6th man." to "Jeremy Lin says he's OK with being Rockets' 6th Man".
