I didn't say it wasn't important; I said it wasn't as important to the team as drawing crowds.

The thing is, it is a lot easier to create contact when you get 3/5 4/5 of the opposing team collapsing on your ass. Even players who are notoriously bad at selling contact like Derrick Rose can draw a lot of fouls when the defense routinely collapses on their asses.

Of course, the flip side of that is that a player with Brooks' ability can really destroy you if you under-respect him. Naturally, they won't keep under-respecting Brooks if he keeps on destroying teams, but hopefully by the time opposing teams adjust, Harden and/or Lin will be healthy.

didn't catch the first minutes of the game, but just watched <a href="http://www.clutchfans.net/video/view/?v=1533&/jeremy_lin_leaves_game_with_leg_injury/">the play here.</a> Thanks Clutch for posting it.

Lin played right through it. Tough kid, like Cat. High tolerance for pain, apparently. I could see him trying to talk is way back into the lineup quicker.

I'm a big Lin fan, and this just reconfirms it for me.

It's ok. Some of us can read it just fine.

Anyway, always want to see a fully healthy team so hope Lin's injury doesn't keep him out longer than this initial timeline. In the mean time our bench has started to find their shooting touch, I think coming out with the "W" is very doable regardless of who's out temporarily.

Ditto and well said, I doubt he is out the full 2 weeks, he worked too hard - him and Beverly are the type to come back early from minor injuries.

    Get better Jermey...

Time for Brooks to continue stepping up... Just a longer opportunity for him to show what he can do and a chance to entrench himself into the rotation. Canaan may get the call up from the D-League.

Welp. That explains Asik's not-so-happy expression in that picture where Keith Jones was helping Lin to the bench in the injury-game. He and Lin are supposed to be traded together and Lin just sabotaged the trade plan. Should we expect a return of bad-Omer?

I don't think so, Bev and Brooks are looking good. I only worry about the Spurs but hopefully Harden will be back. Anyways we have 3 great pgs.

Can you get rid of back spasms for good? I thought it was one of those chronic things where they'll always bug you.

This is a great oppurtunity for Bev to really show what he has. With Lin out Bevs main competition is AB and Bev I would take over AB. So Bev doesn't have much pressure now. He has two weeks to go out and play his game and show what he can do without worrying about not getting playing time. He can learn from his mistakes McHale has no other player to go to so Bev will definitely see the court a lot.

I think Lin's injury is more serious than Bev's though, I don't want him to come back too soon if it means aggravating it.

Yeah my bball coach in high school had back spasms, he said they would come at random times or if he bends or moves a certain way, i don't know if there's a permanent way to get rid of them or not. Hopefully there is, because that's a sucky way to live.
