Yes, let's get rid of all Lin fans.

Wait, who is the next Point Guard in the queue to be loved/bashed?

Some of those other guys are overpaid as well. I'm not knocking Jeremy, like I said I dont think his pay rate negatively affects the team. Les wants Lin on this team and is willing to pay the price, that's fine by me.

Bev needs his trade value pumped up, and he can't do that well enough from the bench. Lin isn't going to be traded so they don't care about his trade value.

This is the same approach they tried with Asik by experimenting with twin towers. The plan was to have Asik + Bev showcased in the starting lineup and then traded.

There really is no better logical explanation when you look at the big picture.

a lot of people like Lin because of his ethnicity. I am also sure a lot of people have negative feelings towards him because of it too. Lin was getting a lot of racial taunts during college and that was only a few years ago. There are a lot of legitimate critiques, opinions, etc. But there are a few people on this board who seem fixated on him (or maybe just fixated on Torocan?). not sure.

I disagree with you and the staff on this. I mean why bench your best player? It's as if they are coaching to lose. must be tanking for Wiggins.

I believe in Lin. Linsanity is no fluke and can happen again.

I also believe Lin is average in most facets of the game.

Linsanity didn't happen because he is exceptional at shooting or attacking the rim or defense. Linsanity happened because there is one rare quality of Lin that no one likes to talk about. Maybe because that quality can't be quantified, and it doesn't show up in stat sheet or video games or sportscenter.

Lin's god given ability as a team leader, oncourt shot caller, is the reason Linsanity happened. His ability to take a bunch of scrubs(palo alto, harvard, knicks) and overachieve is his greatest skill. He is a force multiplier.

Linsanity happened many times before the knicks. It happened in palo alto, ithappened in Harvard. It will happen again, and I hope soon. In order for it to happen, he has to have the whole team, including the coaches to recognize his rare talent as a team leader. Other wise, he's just an average player.

I agree, he is a hard worker, and a team player, and still very young with more upside and untapped potential. I consider him part of our core, I want him to stay and flourish here, and I believe he will because I know that Les loves him.

He does have those "intangibles" as we call them. We have had other players in the past with those qualities, like Shane Battier and Chuck Hayes. I think Lin has that potential as well.

Totally agree what you said here. Wow, I like the word you used, "Force Multiplier". Awesome!

Actually a message board is not a democratic discussion. Never has been, never will. A message board is just some guy who started a discussion group and lots of others joined in. In this case, it's Clutch who did it and we're all here on his whims.

Clutch and/or other moderators already did step in. There are a lot less Lin threads this year compared to last year. Also the admins on this board can delete and has deleted accounts without consulting regular posters. Not really a democratic place. Which it shouldn't be. Because it's a private domain started and maintained by Clutch.

I love the steps you'll go to support Beverley bashing.

Random Beverley haters(or perhaps support a certain other PG): "Beverley's defense has sucked. I have no proof. But he has to be sucking because he's play more minutes."

meh say: "So far, that hasn't seemed to be the case. Beverley looks like he's defending fine based on the results so far."

torocan to meh: "Well, it's only been a few games. And although Beverley has been a good defender, let's wait some more games before we stop calling him a bad defender. The results aren't here yet. But logic would imply that he'll falter in the future."

I don't want to bother digging up all your old Lin posts. But I'm quite sure I can find gazillion of them pointing to sample sizes of less than 19 games to support an argument for Lin. The fact that you expect more than a 1/4 of season of sample size for a PG different from Lin of course, is the epitome of Lin fandom.

How about digging up one of the gazillion posts where Torocan uses a small sample size to prop up Lin? How hard can it be? There's a gazillion of them. If anything, I always see him use a disclaimer of "small sample size" but my memory must be worse than yours because I don't recall a gazillion of these posts.

That could happen. But Lin has done nothing but steadily improve his game so I don't think if he did stink it up that it would be for long.

Interesting perspective. Yes, Lin is a leader, but people have to let him take the reigns, for him to lead. But he can be a leader in other ways on this team. He is very verbal on court and you can see that. Always talking to his players.

If Lin plays poorly, people are gonna blame him (and at the same time completely forget that we're playing Portland - one of the league's best so far).

thank you, i always thought that Lin is great with scrubs in NY. He always talks about "buying into the system", which is really just sharing the ball, rewarding those who ran the floor and/or hustles. Every interview Lin gives, he gives props to his teammates, "can't do it without them" etc etc. He was singing praises about Terrence Jones LAST year way before his current breakout and encouraged him(everyday? there was an article) while he was sent to the D-league(and other players too). Who else does that? Parsons and Lin seems to have that bromance thing precisely BECAUSE both players are great "people" persons. Harden is too cool for that, he only wants to hangout with superstars. Not bad mouthing harden, but thats just his personality flaw.
