    I am, yes.

The videos I make discuss the team through the lens of Jeremy Lin. That's just the way they are set up. I do talk about the rest of the team, but the focus revolves around Lin. I'm not trying to slight the rest of the team, that's just how the videos are set up.

If someone has a huge night for the team, then that person is likely to be discussed.

Also, I try to be objective as regards Lin. Will I give Lin the benefit of the doubt more often than not? Yes. But I try to tell the truth, too. Sometimes more than what Lin fans want to hear. I actually had to make a video last season addressing the issue because several Lin fans were not happy that I, uh, wasn't being zealous enough in my support. Something like that.

You have to maintain your credibility, or at least try to, anyways. If you don't, no one will take anything you say seriously. That's not the situation I want to be in. So if I am not objective about Lin, the videos are meaningless and my credibility is nil.

And this dang Clutch guy is constantly typing faster than me and leaving my response looking reduntant or silly. In this case, I think it was cheating to type less, but last time he typed more and still beat me handily.

"Psychotic" is just a meaner way of saying out of touch with reality in this case. Having read some of the posts coming out from the more extreme Lin fans, it's difficult to characterize them as anything but absolutely out of their mind.

I'm always of the opinion it is good to avoid the meaner word. Psychotic was a bit loaded; I'd have just gone with crazy as that can have a variety of meanings.

(On the other hand, I can have a nasty sarcastic streak, so I'd probably have found some equally loaded way to unload my frustration. But I would have used a different word, so that fixes everything.)

I'd be willing to accede to three of the terms on that list, although I would argue that those labeled LOFs are by no means the sole possessors of those qualities on clutchfans.

It is possible there is an abnormal concentration.

Umm... the original post I was quoting stated that he thought the merging of the 2 Lin threads were underhanded and shown bias. Like Clutch said, the poster was essentially calling Clutch and Crew dishonest and with an agenda. Clutch has always given his all for both the Rockets and us fans. His podcasts, interviews, and the fact that this is the greatest Rockets fan site bar none. For some two bit LOF to come in accusations swinging is just pathetic IMO.

Lin is a hardworking kid though with a bright future ahead of him. Whether that is as a role player or something more, I can't say. However, I do appreciate that he works hard and plays hard. That is one trait I will always respect of a player, especially a Rockets player.

We get asked this all the time, and I understand why. So you're in good company asking the question.

We started to make videos about Lin during his time in New York. When he came to Houston, same thing. I just also happen to be a long-time Rockets fan (who was born in San Antonio, but that's another story).

I am a huge NBA fan who likes the Rockets and who took a real interest in Lin. I make a lot of videos about the NBA. The videos about Lin are from his perspective/tend to focus on him, but that is not meant as a slight to anyone else on the team or as a slight to the team in general.

Also, 10 people might watch a Rockets game and you will probably get 10 different perspectives on what happened. Clutch might see one thing, Jonathan Feigen may focus on something else, Jason Friedman may pay attention to a third thing, Michael Ma something else and I might have a totally different take than everyone else. This type of thing is known as the Rashomon effect (and I'm sure it has other names, as well):

You know what. I don't even care anymore who starts. I personally think we'll get more wins with Lin but that's just my opinion. I just wish that everyone will support Lin. I hate feeling like no matter what Lin does, say he shoots 40% from 3, most people here will still want Bev to start, it seems. I love Bev. I wish people would give Lin a fair shake and the benefit of the doubt as he is a Rockets player. Who's to say Lin can't be a great pg, let him prove it and I hope if he does well he'll be received well. Until then, any criticism is fair game but let's treat him like a Rockets player.

We're a couple months from needing a "Look how much Clutch hates Jeremy Lin" thread to defend Clutch. Clutch is going to have to give Lin an applause during the next post game interview.

Calling him underhanded because of merged threads, lol. I guess a more PC way to put it would be that they "have an overactive imagination."

Wow. Suddenly it's like this. Hahaha!!! I'm always amused and sad looking at Lin threads turning to something like this when it shouldn't. I can't wait for the games to begin so speculations end. Go Rockets!

    Dear Clutch,

i was hesitate to write this to you but since this might be my last post and i might go back to just visit here without leaving any massage.

This is the biggest fansite of the Rockets.
i respect that and its rules and also think you have every right to feel angry even have the authority to lock out some posters account if needed.
Meanwhile, I feel regret for your strong message to some certain fans came to this site.

Since your status is much much higher than all of us. What your comment and message expressed publicly might only encourage some posters here to spread more hatred and think it is allowed.
Hatred only brings hatred and definitely not anyone wants to see while visiting the site. But i am afraid the antagonism and the debate might never end until Lin is no longer one of this team...sigh

Anyway, this is not a perfect world and I can only dream that someday this situation would change and the Rockets fans may embrace Lin wholeheartedly
    without some distractions...

    All the best!

This is a Rockets fansite and not the Lin fanclub. I'm sure a lot of Rockets fans like Lin as well as any other player on the team but all we want is what's best for the whole team and not just for an individual player. If making Lin the 6th man makes the team stronger and increase chances to win even more, do you think Rockets fans wouldn't like it? I'm sure they do. So stop twisting it as if people hate him for wanting him to come off the bench.

    Thank you for your comprehension.

    Bye

According to less dedicated NBA fans, they see the sixth man as a devotion. Heck, we are seeing JR Smith clawing for a starting gig.

This isn't a demotion. James Harden played sixth man and was on Team USA. There are very few situations where the SG also plays point. There is a reason why Amare comes off the bench besides his injuries. Ray Allen comes off the bench yet plays the whole 4th quarter.

The whole problem with this situation is that we have two similar players that are like "sixth men." Neither Harden or Lin can play defense but can execute offense at will with pick and roll. Harden has shown in the preseason nothing has changed. He still commands the ball and Lin is the spot up SG. Lin might be better at that than Beverley, however the second unit needs Lin to be running the show. So Mchale needs to stagger his minutes somehow. Easy answer is coming off the bench.
