    These shoe companies have salary cap constraints? They didn't want to exceed the shoe game cap?

    Maybe Nike thought it was worthless and he wasn't worth paying if he wasn't giving a return.

    Translation: You don't care about Jeremy Lin, because you didn't buy enough Linsanity shirts from Nike. Now he has to rub two nickels from what Adidas is paying him to keep warm.
