OK Lin sucked in the playoffs, compounded by the injury. But overall sucked .
BEV stepped up. Heck I am not happy with it.
But this doesn't change the FACT that he was crucial to us getting into the playoffs.
    Next season folks!

    1. I'm not really sure why some people think Lin usually only plays well when Harden isn't on the court. He had a very good second half of the season overall and not just when Harden wasn't on the court. I truly believe it was more so just him being in his first season as a full time starter while also being on a brand new team.

    2. As has already been pointed out it's pretty crazy to claim you can beat an NBA player. Some of the worst players in the league would absolutely school any basketball player that's not a professional.

This is objectively the stupidest thing I've read here.

You do realize that you're also implying that you might be able to outplay all the PGs that Lin has outplayed at some point or another in the season, which includes the likes of Tony Parker, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, Mike Conley, Damian Lillard, and Ricky Rubio?

Once again, objectively the stupidest thing I've ever read here.

Careful, Air Canada might be Steve Nash! lol

But even then its doubtful the old man can beat Lin now.

It's like how a lot of fans here feel that they can coach better than McHale :)

You could let this thread die along with all the other Anti-Lin threads but your name keeps showing up in them. Please, STFU.

Exactly, I brought up Scal because as a benchwarmer in NBA he looked like Lebron against the college bball player from syracuse. Ppl don't get how hard it is to compete in the NBA. Just because they don't look efficient one day, or they are off, doesn't mean avg ppl like us who don't practice bball for a living have a chance.

Criticizing sitting Asik or Lin for an entire quarter is one thing... lots of other coaches probably think McHale made some bad substitutions this year.

Actually thinking that you are a better at basketball than an NBA player (who averaged 15/7 per 36) is something completely different. Hard not to ignore some sort of race factor in this..

This thread is dumb and I wish it wasn't still popping up. We'll see next year - he will be a significantly improved player and will continue to hit a high clip of 3s as he had done in the second half of the year which will blend in well with the structure of the team.

I really don't see how he's the reason we were in the play offs? Dragic and harden back court sounds good to me.. In fact most likely better. Les is making money off the guy.. Whooptee doo... Wish he could actually do something other than sulk over his glory days of linsanity. I was so glad when we got rid of Matt maloney ... But we brought his asian clone in... At least matt helped us beat the Sonics his first year. Lin is just an excuse of Rockets player... Or maybe I'm asking too much because I have been spoiled by early 90's Rockets when all our boys had heart and balls of steel. Some traditions should never go away. Lin needs to spend time with Tin man to see what Rockets tradition is and what it means to wear that red jersey. It's playoff time and bruise or no bruise you should be suited and be ready to give 110 percent. It's what seperates the boys and the Men in this game. If not take some Midol and Vagisil and go do something else. Lin just needs to get traded.

Everyone's harping on Lin's 3p% but Dragic's 3p% is even worse than Lin's. Dragic really didn't start heating up until Gentry got fired and they started running the offense through him. Put Lin on a crappy PHX team, let the offense run through him and his numbers would be different than what were here.

Dragic is not CP3 or even Curry. With Lin and Dragic, you're comparing apples to apples. They're not that different.

Second stupidest post I've read here so far.

Sounds like you didn't watch any Rockets game at all this season. There were many games that led experienced sportswriters to openly wonder whether Lin-Harden could eventually be the best backcourt in the league, if they weren't already there (at least in spurts).

Having potentially one of the best backcourts in the league PROBABLY helps a team, especially a bubble team like the 2012-13 Rockets, into the playoffs, right?

And the comment about "Midol and Vagisil" just shows your immaturity. I'd think twice about insulting women if I were you. You wouldn't last a minute in the WNBA.

So what? Greg Smith was -43 one game. averages -20-40 something in multiple games... Yet no one is talking about him. Come up with a better argument... you ungrateful piece of... We won 2 games against the #1 seeded thunder.

In my experience, I've noticed the difference between losers and winners. Winners say how hard the other team played, losers point fingers at those who made them lose.

    Grow up!!!
