Jeremy is who he is. He's not a great shooter, so when his shots aren't falling he gets exposed. Now i'm not saying he can't get back to Linsanity again, but he's gonna need better players around him.
You are judging it wrong kwame. Your eye test is telling you he had a bad game but I go by stats and you can not have a bad game if you have 10 asts. yuk yuk yuk.
Ahahah how many more excuses can the LOFers pull out? I called him Asian ridnour before but actually I'm wrong since Ridnour can shoot better than this. ASIAN RAFER it is.
lol the racism of clutchfan veteran posters is definitely a factor to consider here. Also might be #anxiety issues
in real life I'm fairly objective and fair. Unfortunately attacks from fans like you make me defensive and sometimes step over the line. I know that, but I can't help when the attacks are so biased and obsessed
I can't believe people are saying lin will not only surpass Nash, but do it easily. Nash is one of the best distributors of all time, arguably the best pure shooter of all time and a two time MVP. Lin, as a basketball player, doesn't even inhabit the same dimension of existence as Nash, the guy is a living legend. The comparisons on the previous page are horribly ignorant and are a testiment to where this board has sank as a place to actually share quality takes with knowledgeable people. I expected that this would happen and don't post here often anymore, but some things written here are even beyond my worst expectations, especially because so many people try to support them.
You meant the shooting percentage charts? Why is it horrible? It proves the point "everyone gets cold" perfectly.
Honestly Lin's decision making & vision is really good so much better than last year you can't teach that. His J can be improved & I think will get better as the season progresses, things are way to early right now. But his decision making, his knack for rebounding, blocks & steals & size some guys have that some guys don't & he has that.
Give him some time to develop and he will come good. We are in tank mode not in win-now mode. We need to be patient rather than ****ting ourselves this early. The season is still young. How about we sit back and watch the youngest squad in the NBA grow?!
I want the Rockets to win, Lowry and Dragic would have put them in a better position to do so. What is so hard to understand about this? I didn't want Lin after linsanity and certainly not now. He's a fraud compared to that status, his ceiling is an average PG starter, but I don't see him delivering in the playoffs. We'll see, I'm more so upset they gave away two better PGs.
Apart from his shot, he has improved in all other aspects of his game from last year. That's why I have confidence he will be fine. If not this year, then next year for sure. He obviously worked on his handle and passing skills over the summer. He just needs to consistently score. Hopefully it will come. Right now he is playing like Rubio of last year.
I'm surprised of this b/r. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...s-real-value-is-challenging-opponents-big-men
I honestly thought Osik was the mistake and Lin was a good addition. That shows what i thought i knew.I still wouldnt bail on him yet but he is definatlely over paid.
Get over it. Those guys are gone and their teams aren't winning, by the way. How can you say Lin's ceiling is an average PG starter when he had a long stretch of games last season where he showed that his ceiling is higher than that? If he breaks out of his shooting slump and shoots the same percentage as last year all of these "woe is us" threads would be "Linsanity" threads.
You really think if the Rockets have both Lowry/Dragic we would do damage in the playoffs??? I mean, we'd make the playoffs but no way in hell we'd do a damn thing to even go to the 2nd round... Right now this is rebuilding from scratch and with some patience and time, this team will be a force to be reckon with and Teams like Lakers/Heat will be too old by the time the Rockets are a force of nature....
I think Lin is feeling a lot of pressure to perform like a star. He is a very self-reflective, conscientious person, and its causing him to think too much on the floor. That's the worst thing you can do as a shooter. He needs to just relax and not worry about makes/misses. Just play his game. This is rebuilding year, and the main thing is for him to just play with confidence and grow as a team leader.
