I think Lin has been playing well in the playoffs. He seems more aggressive and it appears he is no longer overthinking things and just playing on instincts. I have been impressed with him so far in the playoffs. Harden, on the other hand, not so much.
what a a great analogy! I love it! Although I do think in a way, Lin is playing much more controlled, so he isn't turning over as much..... I definitely agree in thinking: If I try to do too much and it goes wrong, the backlash from fans and team mates would be too much to take, so just allow dwight and howard to do their thing... by the way jeremy's floater...he doesn't really have one...
People seem to be overlooking Jeremy Lin's positive contributions in the playoffs. In game #2, he had more assists than anyone else, despite the fact he played limited minutes. In game #1, he scored more points in the overtime than anyone else. That's not bad for a mere role player who gets limited minutes.
When he plays more consistently he can stop deferring. Now's not the time to test those waters, or at least it hasn't been until now, where we may as well try something else if something doesn't start looking more like it's working. Count me in the "holds his breath whenever he gets the ball" court. I like the guy, I want him to do well, but he looks and plays frightened in my opinion. I like his energy and I like his ability to finish at high speeds, but the defenses in playoff caliber opponents aren't going to sleep through that "if I could only get by them before they can defend me" stuff, and he's often reduced to spinning in circles and barely getting the ball out of his hands before something bad happens, if he's lucky. If you're helping your ex that treats you that way, perhaps that explains your affinity for being alright with that sort of play.
Lin had a good Game 1, but we needed more from him (and EVERYONE) in Game 2. He had a couple really good looking 3 point shots in Game 2 that just rattled out...he can't let that affect his confidence for Game 3.
You are strictly on this site because you're a groupie for an NBA player. That's about as sad as it gets
Great analogy. This is what I think when I watch him play also. He's like a cork being held under water, every now and then the cork slips through McHale's fingers and leaps into the air, but then is caught and held under the water again.
I will be interested to hear the excuses and irrational claims that come if another coach keeps him coming off the bench, whether it's here or somewhere else.
Completely swung the game. Batum hits a 3 on the other hand 4 years at Harvard and a lifetime of basketball, and cannot manage or close out games for **** Not going to magically improve
Give me a break. If he made that shot, everyone on CF would be all over his nuts. So tired of bipolar posters.
