shut your ass. Most posters here are relatively neutral, that's why you stick out like a sore thumb. Go away lol.
I think it's this overblown generalization that makes people feel like they have to overcompensate by being overly scrutinizing as a way to lash back against these would-be crazy fans. I like Lin, I feel like he does good and bad (Good: 4th quarter scoring. Bad: TO's and jumping into the air). Sometimes, I do feel like the opinion can be a tad harsh on him though.
CONGRATS JEREMY! BACK TO BACK 1 ASSIST GAMES! Ball movement, creating for others, and making everyone "camp on 3 pt line" all day, err day!
Yes, he made a few plays at the end, but he also blows another defensive assignment that could've cost us the game. Once again, his man gets a clean look because he's paying attention to something that's not his assignment. He did the same thing vs Phoenix when Dragic got a clean look.
... Watch your defender and opponents defense as much as you are willing to watch the ball... Then you won't get caught in a screen..
arent you supposed to always watch the ball? i mean, obviously he should do both (watch the ball and watch his man) but i'm just saying, its hard to chase your man when you're getting screened. everyone seems to think its so easy to fight over a screen. On Defense always be able to see your man and the ball (this is when your man doesn't have the ball). When your man is 1 pass away, you can deny the player from getting the ball. You must be in a defensive triangle position with you, the ball and your man. Flatten out the triangle, with you at the center point of the triangle. Try to get a hand in the passing lane(straight line between the ball and your man). Position your head so that you can see both with your peripheral vision. Then slide up and back with your man, keeping that triangle position. http://basketball.lifetips.com//cat/7148/defense/index.html
That might be a good general rule to follow, but it's not always that simple. This is a crunch time play. Everyone man up with you guy - no reason to be more than arm's length from your man. On this play, Bev's man has the ball, and even if he gets by Bev, it's not Lin's job to help - it's Dwight's. Yet Lin for some reason is staring at the ball. He gets screened from behind, which would've been easy to get around if he was paying attention.
this might be fair. but as a general rule, when you have to fight over a screen, you're already trailing so the player you're chasing already have a window when he's wide open since your teammate that is guarding the screener stays in the paint. all you can do is to close out and try to get a hand in his face.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICNOWXZrXow you don't want to guard this shot - if they want to take it, you let them take it rather than giving them the driving lane. that's why ppl who can make shots like this (steph curry, jh13, etc) tend to do pretty well in this game.
