Hell yeah, the best way to get point thingys on clutchfans is to either spew hate on Lin OR write anything remotely praising him. I've received both. The idiots that love to abuse you privately by calling you an LOF are the most entertaining.
An example hoe Lin gets bashed automatically Rotoworld stated today that Cannon got 20 minutes because Lin was blown away by Chis Paul at both ends of the court. Lin did not defend Paul. Paul scored most if not all his points off Parsons, Tjpnes, Harden. I watched the whole game a Lin was not even near Paul. The distorted myth making continues. Lin 's man went 2 for 10 offensively.
Right. Lin was not on Paul. Of course the flip side of that is that the coaches do not feel comfortable putting him on Paul.
Lin is just not as good as some people want him to be, he is a decent to good starting PG, but his skill level and mentality will hold him back from ever reaching the pentacle of what he could be. In certain situations, on a bad team, he could score 18-20ppg and have 8 or 9 assists, but he would also average 5 turnovers. JLin is an enigma, a very likable guy, who seems to try too hard to please everyone, and because of that, he is a little too nice - and backs down far too often from a challenge. He is a good player, just not a great one. DD
Kwame Brown is just not as good as some people want him to be, he is a decent to good starting center, but his skill level and mentality will hold him back from ever reaching the pentacle of what he could be. Darko Milicic is just not as good as some people want him to be, he is a decent to good starting center, but his skill level and mentality will hold him back from ever reaching the pentacle of what he could be. Jonny Flynn is just not as good as some people want him to be, he is a decent to good starting PG, but his skill level and mentality will hold him back from ever reaching the pentacle of what he could be.
Lin is not that great. We all know that. But for God's sake, please stop putting the blame on him. He is like maybe the 4th option on this team behind Dwight, Harden, and Parsons? If we're losing, I'm putting the blame on our superstars. We gave them a max contract and I'm expecting them to carry this team, not Lin. Many of you are still riding on the Linsanity hype and having high expectations, but truth be told, this team has changed dramatically since we've acquired Lin, and the Rockets no longer need to rely on him.
Well Mr Wang, nobody's blaming Jeremy Lin for not being a superstar. We just want him to actually show up and make a appearance on the court. Just GIVE US SOMETHING Jeremy. Something. Anything. Right now he's clueless out there
I like Lin a lot but man was he bad on Saturday. We went to the game and even my 7 year old noticed that he had more turnovers than made shots. If he would just shoot the ball when he penetrates rather than jumping in the air with no idea what he's going to do that would solve a majority of his problems. Just make the easy pass or shoot the ball. There's no need for home run assists on this team.
Well we gave Lin an 8M contract, as the 2nd highest paid guy on the team he should still show up and not go1-9 that's scrub level. Even worse is we let Dragic walk for him, how big of a mistake was that?
He just needs to cut down his stupid turnovers and make a decent percentage from the shots he takes..
Of course the flip flip side of that is that he is Chris Paul. "We know Lin doesn't do so well on him, so let's try some length instead. Nope, that doesn't work either. Back to the drawing board." Lin had a bad game. Don't know what is up with him, but really it is just on to the next game now. Hope he does better next time.
I don't think Bev wouldn've been on Darren Collison standing around in the corner. Yes he's Chris Paul.... And Lin is....Lin...
You are correct. Bev, a player who is in the NBA because of his defense, would be defending the best point guard in the league. Meanwhile Lin, a player who is in the NBA because of his offense, wasn't defending the best point guard in the league. As it happens, Lin, a player who is in the NBA because of his offense, had a crappy offensive game. Everything else regarding him in the game was fairly predictable.
All we ask for Lin is not to be a liability and net negative deadweight on the court. No one here expects Lin to carry the team because he is simply not good enough for that and those are huge expectations on a below average starting PG. Just don't be a total no show like he has been several times this season.
Lin had 3 turnovers, Harden had 6. Lin was blocked twice, Harden was blocked once, and Asik was blocked 3 times. http://www.nba.com/games/20140329/LACHOU/gameinfo.html#nbaGIboxscore
I understand what you are saying but man, I have not said this enough. He is just so damn inconsistent that you really can't depend on Lin. His weak mind is what causes this, he is out there playing afraid. And Lin is a good guy but he will consistently get criticized because he is suppose to be playing as a decent STARTING PG and its difficult to even say he is a decent backup. This JUMPING INTO THE AIR WITHOUT KNOWING WHERE/WHAT HE IS GOING TO DO is not something that PG's (or at least good/decent PG's) do. I hope he proves everybody (including me) wrong, and has a hot streak going into the playoffs. But its very difficult to see him doing this.
