Bev averages 9 pts and 2 assists per game, if it were him in place of Lin, the result would have been the same. it's not like the team had any winning against the LAC this year with Bev starting.
Right because every player only produces as well as their statistical average every night and numbers tell everything.
I'll be happy when Lin is gone. He needs a fresh start. And we need to not have him sucking anymore. He can have good games, but against good teams when the moment is big he's a turd.
Honestly given Lin's poor production and his exorbitant salary, he has to seriously be considered as one of the worst players in the NBA.
Not only Wall, but they called this scrub a top 5 PG and an all star and then throw in the caveats given the right system, the right coach, the right players around him, the right ball boys, the right janitors etc etc Delusional.
Geez judging by some of the hate on this thread, alot of Rockets fans must lead some sad-ass lives =(
Back in October someone on here actually tried to modulate some stats to try and make a case that Lin was just as a productive a player, and had the same upside as Damien Lillard. I'm sad that I ended up being right that he's nowhere near the talent, but it just goes to show you how delusional some folks can be to not call a spade a spade. Lin is who he is for better or worse. He can win you a game every now and then, but he's a confidence scorer with very little confidence, and struggles keeping guys in front of him. If you can't at least make an NBA PG (deepest talent in the league per position) work hard to get in the paint, you just aren't gonna cut it. You can hide Harden some nights when he's no mentally checked in on the defensive end, but you can't hide Harden and Lin at the same time, and Lin doesn't nearly hold the value offensively that Harden has, so Lin will get the loss. It might hurt Lin's feelings a little more, but he really needs to be moved back to the 6th man role ASAP to maximize what he can give you, and minimize the risk that he brings in his game & mentality.
I don't see the comparison. Just because fans are pissed off their team lost and the play of a particular player has been an issue all year; doesn't mean they have "sad-ass lives"
Usually when people spout hate, like the kind I've read on this forum it's because they need to put others down in order to feel good about themselves.
Good thing about the forum is you can ignore the negative energy easily. Imagine having to live with some of these people
I guess I see what you are saying.. For example, you have a friend who bought a house, has a nice car, great job, hot wife, goes on vacation all the time and you talk **** about them because you envy them? That would be an example of hating to make yourself feel better. I don't think anyone on here hates Jeremy Lin. I like the guy personally, but he isn't a good basketball player. That is clear as day. The "hate" as you call it, stems from your team losing. It is called being a fanatic. Nobody likes to lose. You can never win them all but when a particular player is consistently inconsistent, it is frustrating to see. He wasn't the sole reason we lost last night, but he sure didn't do anything to help. This was a great opportunity for him to step in and manage the game and create, score, etc. Prove to himself and the fans he isn't a joke. He did none of it. He was outplayed by a Rookie that hasn't played meaningful minutes in an NBA game until like a week ago.
I don't get this either... Lin plays 3 less minutes per game than Bev but scores 2.5 more points, 1.5 more assists, has a better FG% and FT% yet whenever I come in this forum (which is rarely) I see a tonne of Lin hate and very little for Bev. What gives?
What gives? Either both you don't watch the games and only look at stats and box scores, or you watch the games wearing a blindfold. With all due respect.
