That's too much credit, that's assuming he comes back now and then. Let's call him "Hot potato" because that's how bad he wants to get rid of the ball.
Dei: no need to fan the flames by posting stuff like this. There are extremists on both sides that say things that are way off base. I have gotten a couple of unsigned negative reps from those who don't like Lin fans, which have been pretty bad too. There is cowardice and anger on both sides.
This thread is the joke of clutchfans! It highlights both extremes and neither sides are healthy for the rockets fan base. But fans are fans, by definition, fans can't be objective lol
hahahhahah...LOL...can't u read something which is written in English? Are u using goggle translate?... no wonder u'r post are like that.. 1.I guess online psychology is a trend nowadays.... 2. LOL..so ur calling someone obsessive just because they wrote something positive on him?? 3. How did u know???? you've been there I guess...funny how Lin fans and anti Lin fans are checking each other's site... 4. Nostradamus is that you? 5. Try countering an argument without calling out names so that people will take u seriously.. OTH, I love to lurk here....though honestly I won't stay long when Lin will be traded/signed out of the Rockets but until then I'll root for the Rockets to win as much as any other Rocket "True" fans are....and will continue to have a healthy discussion with u guys...
Cannot say I agree here.... Most Knicks fans would disagree as well.... http://www.ultimateknicks.com/forum/topic.asp?t=47064&page=9 There is also evidence suggesting the contrary in Lin's PER stat.... Which was over 5 points higher for his season with the Knicks. I just think Lin can only flourish if he has total freedom creating off the midrange game.... Which is muzzled in the "Moreyball" layups-and-threes offensive system. This is why I believe Lin would be a lot more effective in a conventional offensive system.
A team built around Lin and his strengths will absolutely benefit his stats/performance. But is it a formula for long term success? The small sample in NY suggests yes. The large sample in Houston suggests no. Until that perfect scenario unfolds we'll never know for sure.
Good luck trying to do this on any contending team without a ball dominant wing player (which is like most of them these days). It would have to be a scab team and then Lin has to ask himself, "Am I trying to win or look good?"
Dragic would tell Lin you can win and look good at the same time, as long as you have a coach that trust you and allow you to grow through mistakes.
In any given year, 96% of the NBA doesn't win. While there are certain disfunctional teams most players would want to avoid if given a choice, outside those teams perhaps he should be asking himself "which contract is best." I suspect that is the question most of the players ask themselves. It's a game for us and them, but for them it's also a job.
For now, statistically, yes, because he's got the opportunity to develop. And Lin may or may not be as good eventually, but Dragic is a good model for Lin.
And here is the thing though... Dragic was groomed to replace Nash. Lin was a nobody until Linsanity and has yet to prove that was a fluke with his inconsistencies and up-down performances. How many teams will be in a desperate enough scenario to take a chance on not Lin the role player, but Lin a starting PG with "star" potential as some of his fans love to believe? That's my question to them as they keep having these pipe dreams of a team trusting Lin with the reigns of their offense to prove the world he is "great."
You're still struggling little fella' but I'll oblige. 1. Common sense but that is lost on your group 2. You and I both know you're obsessed with Lin. Let's not beat around the bush here. It's sad, and if you're response is an admission that you will work through your issues then I'm happy to have helped 3. It's been posted on this site many times but I have went over there for a laugh after it was brought to my attention. Rarely could you find a bigger collection of imbeciles . In fact, I'd venture to say you guys take the cake. 4. No, but it wasn't a difficult conclusion to come to. 5. Lol. You started with the "intellectual capacity" comment and subsequently got slapped down. I don't expect anything worthwhile out of LOFs but at least follow your own argument. Nobody cares.
And he has 2 to 3 years more experience of being a point guard than Lin, I believe if Lin gets his confidence up and takes more shots, he can be better than Dragic. Right now he defers too much.
Why stop at Dragic? You don't think he can be better than Paul, Westbrook, Rondo, Irving, Wall, Lowry, Lillard, etc?
Hahahahaha. Lin will never be better then Dragic. He's a back up PG that can't even be counted on for a consistent performance. You can't name 10 teams he could start for.
Doesn't mean he can get better. He has a faster first step than Dragic. He just needs two things to be better. 1 ) shoot better 2) pass better. That's the only difference between the two.
And yes he could eventually be a starter for an Nba team. He was going to be for the Knicks. Who says he can't get better( his legs aren't broken) just the haters.
You realized you just listed 2 of the most important things for a PG right? That's like saying that Flynn could as get as good as CP3. After all, all he has to do is pass and shoot better right?
