Yes I too would like to see that again. I couldn't believe how foolish he looked. Dribbled it right off his damn foot.
Jordan Hamilton looked like he had better handles than Lin . Zboy the lof are a creature of delusion like we've never seen before. It's like if Lin takes a dump they think it's roses
This slump looks permanent. Rockets need to prepare Canaan for the playoffs because Lin isn't going to provide anything positive.
Lot of rumbling in the stands tonight about Jeremy. This thread exists in Toyota Center and there is the same consensus.
Lin is most definitely our weakest link. Whenever he's out there we look hopelessly unorganized out there. Dude should have been traded a while ago. I'm not sure why Houston and NY couldn't work something out. It seems he thrived while in NY. He's been overall terrible since he's been in Houston IMHO.
I just disagree with you. Defensively, in addition to the block you cited, He had one play where he saw Wade streaking to the basket, ran across to get a swipe at the ball, and though he missed, it broke Wade's rhythm and he lost control of the ball as he shot it. On another play, he saw that Miami (believe it was Wade again) was stuck around the elbow and wanted to pass across the lane to an open 3 pt shooter but Lin shaded to the passing lane and Wade threw it away. And when Harden made a bad pass that Chalmers took and ran with Lin prevented the layup with a foul.
When Lin dribbled the ball off his foot, what did you see? The invisible man swiping the ball at him?
Lin is just showing his true colors. The guy is a marginal NBA player at best and it doesn't help he is mentally weak on top of that. That two week Linsanity period in New York got him paid but he won't start for another team unless its a bad team.
I remember that "foul" called on Lin. Lin breathed on Chalmers who initiated the contact. Love also how Harden gets poked in the eye and nothing.
The theory is now Fact.. the Rockets are better with Beverley in the game as much as possible, and Lin just isn't the right kind of player to sustain leads. I thought Lin would be great as a 6th man type of player, but he's really shown that he can do more damage to your team if he's coming off the bench cold and tries to hard to get his points & get himself going without it coming within the flow of the offense. Its a hard pill for Morey & McHale to swallow, but I think you HAVE TO start preparing yourself to try Canaan out there. He's someone with much more defensive upside and I guarantee you he will play a much smarter brand of basketball coming off the bench. Beverley on the other hand really seems to need more and more minutes to continue to improve. The more he plays the better it seems to be he plays. He's definitely this teams Shane Battier glue guy... but potentially with some upside left to continue to improve offensively.
He's going to get clowned extremely hard by Houston Rocket fans. But the LOF will find a way to blame how McHale has ruined his confidence by meddling with his playing time, playing to his weaknesses instead of his strengths and how he needs to get out of Houston ASAP because we aren't a team that will support his 'growth'. It's just a cycle that will never end until he either starts performing better or gets traded/leaves.
Was he really ever a good, consistent shooter and did he ever have above average handles? No, but he compensated for the lack of both with by excelling in attacking the rim and drawing contact. And now he's lost the desire or ability to do even that. He only attempts to take it to the hole when the lane is completely WIDE open. If that open lane closes up, he immediately picks up his dribble or bails out. It's very frustrating to watch. You've changed bro!
If i told you either Lin or Schaub had to be back with their team for one last season next year, which would you pick?
Agreed. Hopefully it's just a slump. But if he just sucks in this system, either change the system, at least while he is on the court, or move him. No sense in wasting a roster spot for someone you know sucks in the system you are invested in.
