Anyway, his play should shut up both the LOFs and LOH/LOFH. His actions speak far too loudly. Even guys like "Jeff Green" and Dei can stfu (just kidding, we luv you two... you guys are thesis and antithesis without the synthesis).

That is bad and just sad and should make anyone mad.

The guy should consider himself lucky he is still seeing floor time with that kind of performance.

Canaan must be licking his chops.

There is going to be a point where they have to decide whether they want to keep trying to get Lin on track for the playoffs, or give Canaan some run to get him ready.

Parsons has been benched twice only

Yup big reason bev plays more than lin is not his defense, it's mostly because of TOs

If Lin got it down to 2.2 and avg. 5.0 ast, he would be starting

But let's be honest, Parsons and bev are favorites of the coaching staff(like with all coaches), nothing wrong with that

Lin was avg. 17/5 the first 15 games and still played less than bev

Lin was gone before the season started fellas(once again, nothing wrong with that)

Just hope he turns it around and plays well in the playoffs, so we can get 2nd and an expiring contract next year, but if he's here next year, he's not playing at all, will only be here for the Asian money

Would like to trade Lin and Parsons(and picks) for Rondo in the off-season and re-up Hamilton for cheap

Its time to see what we have in Canaan. Lin's hurting the team more than helping them. He is end of the bench material at this point. He's fallen off extremely quick and because of his lack of mental toughness, it could be hard for him to get back to where the team needs him to be.

He'll come back. It's just been one forgettable month. Or has it been longer than a month? It doesn't matter. He'll come back.

Got to stay with Lin and hope he does well in the playoffs and trade him in the summer then go with Canaan next year

    Or

Go with Canaan now and eat Lin's money next year

Just listened to McHale's postgame - he seems to echo your sentiment - not too concerned about it, part of the normal ups and downs players go through in a season. We'll see soon if he meant it.

You better be right. I'm holding you personally accountable.

It's Mardi Gras time. Whoever has the Jeremy Lin voodoo doll you've had your fun. Ok, It's not funny anymore.

Hopefully he comes back before Elvis and 2Pac though.

I guess I'm just pissed because if this is the Jeremy we can expect for the rest of the season, we're pretty much screwed. I doubt Canaan is ready to step in and play 20 minutes a night during a playoff push at this point in the season and then be a difference maker in a 7 game series. We need Lin on top of his game in order to make any noise in the playoffs. I love my Rockets and I just want them firing on all cylinders. Backup PG is an important cylinder.

I agree, if Lin doesn't start performing to be a decent backup, the rocket's postseason will be Not For Long

Of all the dumb things you have said in this thread (and you have said many) this probably takes the cake.

He's in a funk. I worry his mental toughness has been tested too much and he is forcing his way to making things right and not letting the game come to him. Maybe he has at this point even doubted himself, he needs to stay focused and fight through it. I don't think he is bad as he has been playing lately, imo I have seen enough of his game to know he above average. He needs to get it together for us to really be a threat come playoff time.

Why's it dumb? It's a possibility. Lots of players have slacked off after getting paid.

Shooting slump I get, but is there such a thing as a passing slump. It's like he is not anticipating that the defense will just put out a hand or jump in the air to intercept the pass. It's gut wrenching to watch. Besides his defense being okay, and I mean really just okay his shot is not and his play making is not there either. Just passing around the perimeter and when Dwight isn't in the game to collapse the defense that is meaningless.
I know it must be hard to switch between facilitator, corner three spot up shooter and slasher, but how about just focus on one and being good at it.
The only consolation prize is watching Harden/Howard destroy the other team and Bev annoying the crepe out of opposing players.
    Sigh...gotta keep my head up
