I don't read the CBA or any NBA legal document (not what I'm here for), but as I understand it, bought out contracts still count toward the salary cap, so skinny chance. He'd have to be worse than a 3rd string PG (since the Rockets will still need one of those).
Yes but would you pay somebody millions to walk away and play for the opponent? 20 million is a lot. Dunno if it's allowed but maybe if Lin lets go of most of the money owed.
If he was both physically and mentally ready to play in the NBA then he is in fact not an average Joe by definition.

Lin fans like you are the only ones that think it is the moderator's responsibility to censor criticism about one (and only one) player. We locked Lin is garbage.... and Jeremy Lin Freaking Sucks!, but when this got bumped, it made sense to let it ride this time. Lin has been terrible in the last several games... some fans are going to kneejerk and vent somewhere. I don't agree with it -- I don't think Jeremy Lin is near as bad as some of the posts here suggest, just as I don't think he's near as good as some LOFs think. But sorry, no ... Bumped after 1 year by this troll. Don't know why it took him so long to respond about harden in a thread about lin! This is a thread about Lin's performance from 11/2012. No ones going to sift through 200+ pages of madness. IMHO, it would've been better to start a fresh new thread about lin's crappy performance. It was already confusing to some posters when it got bumped.
