That has nothing to do with Basketball IQ. The player with the best IQ in the game didn't even go to college.
Think this thread is idiotic...but Lin really needs to work on how to stop deferring being a playmaker...there are times when Mchale pairs Lin and Harden together...However, Lin just does not seize control of the opportunity to run the offense...I still think that Harden is one of the best set three point shooters on this team, and the Rockets havent found a way to exploit this more...If Lin truly attacked with control, he would allow for better offensive consistency and flow. I have to give credit for Lin's improvement on defense. He fights more through screens, and he competes whenever cross matched. However, it seems offensively he hasn't improved like i expected him too...
Wow clutchfan.com should change into linfans.com jeremy makes this sigth more alive than all other rocket members combine
Hes becoming one of the most overpaid players in the league.. Ive been patient with him but it is getting ridiculous now, he plays like a high school player IQ wise and we are pissed.
It all depends where your bias is. If you want to hate Bev, you will say he doesn't attack the rim like most starting point guards do in NBA. You will say how on earth a starting pg can have so low an assist number. You will say he is so inconsistent in his 3s. You will quote Parker, Lillard, Lawson, Westbrook, Curry, Dragic, Irving, Walls, IT, Lin, DWill & Rose (old versions lol), etc., etc., to justify why Bev is so bad. Attacking pgs always have high TO. Go check the TO of Westbrook, Irving, Parker etc., you will see higerTO per game than Bev. That is the nature of the beast when you attack the rim and run into big bodies. It is chaotic under the rim with those long arms all over you, and defenders looking out for your outlet passes. Bev plays it safe. Nothing wrong with that. If that is what the team wants him to do, so be it. If he starts attacking the rim as often as other pgs do, he will have high TO too. Attacking the rim is a two edged sword for those of us who play bb and know the reality under the rim. You break down the defense, score or assist, or you turnover at times. No other ways about it.
Few days ago we all heard that rox org tried really hard to remove lin via trade and you guys wanted him to go locked in the next game? Asik took months to get back his groove and you guys want him to do it in days. Thats too much to ask guys.
I was thinking the same thing. Up 3, so what do you absolutely HIV positively not give up? The 3 ball!
Honest to God, if he cut the help defense and just stuck his man he would be instantly serviceable. Until then, hes a liability.
On the other hand, does our coach ever say something like, don't help, never leave a shooter alone? Before that last possession, did our coach say who should cover whom no matter what? forget the ball, just hang on to your guy? Just wondering, coz we see scenes like this too often.
I think they're aiming for this thread to reach 5k posts. Its getting kinda childish but hey they're making a living out of it though.
LOL, do you really think this site makes money per click on their threads? You really don't know how this site works do you? It was here before Jeremy came here and it will be here after he leaves or retires.
Nobody's moving or screening off the ball..... The entire defense can focus on either the ballhandler or the primary man.... Since there are no screens or players moving off the ball, the play in essence turns into one on five...... We're very fortunate to have Harden, one of only few players in the league who can make plays in such situations. But Lin isn't Harden.
He should have been traded together with Asik. He will play like this till he gets traded. He's not fit to be with Harden.
