You're right the rockets have been trying to suck this whole time As long as Morey is trying to acquire the top talents we are "trying to win a championship". GMs/teams don't have the mentality of trying to lose (unless they are rebuilding), just missing out of the playoffs or trying to make the playoffs but lose. Everyone's goal is the championship
Just read this it addresses all of your concerns. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=7579078&postcount=4390
<br> Yeah that pretty much addressed absolutely nothing I wrote. But at least I now know you don't actually have a response and just like most Lin fans when it comes down to it you resort to saying "see torocan's post!"
Just give it a rest Peter. Usually I enjoying watching LOH and LOF trolling each other but this is getting personal. King might be a die hard Rockets fan but from his post I don't see him know much about basketball expect pointing out who the best player is on the team. As a Kentucky alum and huge college hoop fan, I have been Lin fan since he was at Harvard and last Feb was unreal seeing the guy I knew should've been a first run pick go unleashed. I started occasionally following Rockets when Heyes was here and getting more serious when PP came. Now I watch every single game and hope TJones can be a solid contributor. King doesn't seem to understand that in order to become a fan, you have to have cause. It doesn't matter how you become one. As long as when you're a fan, you root for the team. Kentucky fans are proud of our folks representing all over the world. I've even met one when I was on business trip in Japan. I feel like fans like King doesn't want their fan base to grow outside of Houston. It's how it is and you should know better.
I did respond so did torocan you don't close out on a quick point guard who is a better driver than he is shooter. It defies basketball sense. Also you suggested a few times that maybe Lin isn't as good of a driver as "Lin fans" say he is but Morey himself said the skill set that Lin is best at in comparison to other guards in the NBA is his driving ability. I responded you just think otherwise to each his own.

Yeah, after about 10 or 11 it really started to take off. First the straight trolls, then one-note LOHs, then the psycho LOFs ("why is Lin ever substituted in a game"). Then the folks who QUOTE the one-note LOHs and pyscho LOFs. Then the folks who quote 5 or 6 long interesting posts in a row and say "I like this" after each one. Then the ones who post big pro-wrestling photos. It is really a fantastic forum option as I rarely find an annoying thread, just threads with lots of hidden posts.
Actually, it pretty much did address part of what you posted. Also, his posts are reference because they are intelligent and logical. Sadly, this can not be said for much of clutchfans.
Well, and I assume I am not alone in this, I do have a life outside of CF. Seriously, I'd guess 90% to 95% of the posts on CF are interesting or informative. I'm only missing about 7% of the posts at the moment and if I miss anything good it is probably going to be quoted by someone else. The ignore list acts like noise-cancelling headsets, and only the noise is filtered.
This Lin **** is getting old. He's not going to put up numbers like a prototypical pg in the league. He's not playing the same way. You're not going to get jrue holiday production. He's the focal point of the offense, the teams star, and he's going to have the ball in his hands. That's straight from Doug Collins' mouth too, kind of like what the rockets coaches have said of Lin. He's putting up decent numbers in a role he is clearly uncomfortable with ( and not well suited for, at least as they have been using him ). He does need to be more aggressive though, and he should be a bigger part of the offense because with both Harden and Lin playing at the top of their games we will have one of the most dynamic back courts in the league. Arguing against that is ridiculous. Can you really look back at the games they have played and say that the team wasn't more successful when the backcourt was a bit more balanced?
I think morey wanted to get harden into the allstar game knowing that he wouldnt get the starting spot behind the the true superstars of the league. I bet he thought he would have lin in there too. He was hoping to have lin and harden in the all star game snce its in houston. He probably thought lin was a lock so he had harden get overplayed during the losing streak. Get him superstar numbers. But that cost us the losing streak. Just theories, probrably all false.
The ****. Clutch should create a new forum called "Lin circlejerk forum". Where all you LOFs discuss and agree with each other's stupidass theories on how Lin is the next coming of Michael Jordan, Martin Luther King, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, Abe Lincoln combined. And the only thing stopping that from happening is the racist McHale and Harden's beard. How do you guys even come up with these theories? LIN IS NOT THAT GOOD.
Roxxy, Dudewah said slightly close out. If you played any basketball, you would know what that means. He doesn't go full speed towards Lin, it puts them in the bad position. They close out right when Lin is about to shoot (not pump fake). I play the game a lot. I'm actually trying to play College ball, therefore I take criticism about my game and find it normal to criticize others about their game. Its part of the game. Its not hating or anything because I actually think Lin is super cool person to hang out with and such.
The same reason Jeremy Lin was always overlooked all his life is the same reason people confidently think Lin will just be an overpaid mediocre guard now for the Houston Rockets. Like Lin said in interviews, as an Asian-American baller, he's going to always have to prove, every game, he's legit. No one will ever give him the benefit of the doubt that he can sustain superstar numbers. The doubt so strong, people didn't even believe it when it was happening creating Linsanity in the first place.
