How much better would the rest of the team be if Lin could find his shot, make smarter passes, and control his gear better? Two can play that game. I agree that Lin hasn't been used to the optimal, but lots of players aren't either or have to play with inferior teammates -- it's just reality because people aren't robots. You can't keep using that as an excuse. You're basically saying Lin needs the perfect teammates in order not to suck. I'm a big Lin fan, and I root for him, but that says to me he's not an elite player but a role player, who needs certain conditions.
Role players are meant to play roles they are good at. In Lin's case that is playing PG full time. If a role player cannot play the role he is good at and is forced to do something else, then he is useless and a bad fit. He should be traded for someone who can play that role. It's that simple and yet anyone who says that is branded as an LOF. Clutchfans hate logic.
I agree that Lin is a bad fit with Harden and ideally should be traded but that's not such an easy thing to do with his contract. Saying that will also get you branded a LOH.
The point is that you can't fairly judge his quality as long as he is not being used right. I was interested to see whether Lin can really perform at Linsanity level or if he is just a fraud that got just got hot, the hottest an NBA player ever was. But up to now, I can't judge because he is not being played as a true PG and to his strengths. Acknowledging that is not providing Lin with excuses, it's just being fair to the guy.
against the Nets he orchestrated the offense for most of the game.. I even saw Harden dump the ball to Lin on several occasions and let him run the offense which I've never seen Harden do all season..
If you trade Lin in mind that you'll be dumping his fans to that city, which team would you give him to?
If a player can't adapt to what is required of him at his position, then just maybe he isn't as good as some of you think he is. Enough of this BS "He isn't being used right" as an excuse to why he can't hit the broad side of a barn. Shooting is a basic skill that all players(especially point guards) need to do to be considered a good player. Besides, he has plenty of opportunities to drive the lane, but chooses not to. That isnt the coaches fault, it isnt the other players fault, it is his fault. Accept it or not, it is the truth.
If some people only bash lin when he has a bad game, and keep quiet when he has a good game, all they do is bashing lin, they are haters. We saw a few posters here, do you agree? I guess you dont need the name, you also know who they are.
So you're saying he sucks and should be traded asap??? I'm pretty sure that has been said a billion times on this thread before, nothing you added that I haven't heard before...
TBH, not all. I haven't actually read most of this thread. But King1's been here for a long time. He's not a guy who just signed up to bash Lin like you guys who just signed up because you're fans of Lin.
