I thought Lin would put up better numbers this year, but I also didn't expect the Rockets to sign Harden. For his production $8 million is about right for a PG these days. It's just the market right now. The Mike James argument is ridiculous because it's not 2006 right now. A 12/6 starting PG can expect $8 mill these days. With that said Asik and Parsons are outplaying their contracts so compared to those guys Lin seems like he's being overpaid. I still think he can put up better numbers and if he can get more consistent with his jumper can be a much better player

You LOFs really need to learn how to let that go. that means NOTHING. who cares what you can score in 5 games if you can't do **** after that. Like i said before the whole Linsanity thing was disrespectful to proven Good stars. He got all that attention for doing good for a couple of games when players have done what he did for an entire SEASON. where as Lin couldn't make it past 5-6 games without falling back into normal PG caliber.

I do think his numbers would be better if we had a pf that plays inside and a center that can catch and finish

    lin could easily be 15/9

its not like we maxed him out

Lin is talented, but has too much of a scrub mentality. Today he was shooting well and still didn't take many shots.

way too passive. No alpha in him to shake James off. Its obvious that James been off, lin needs to be more dominant

got in the paint and had chances to attack and finish/draw foul but kicks it out

what frustrates me is his willingness to hand it off and be a spot up shooter

Beverly has already shown more aggressiveness in a week

Agreed, both Beverley and Douglas show more confidence on the court than Lin.

He's not the superstar on this team so he's not gonna be the alpha. If he has the green light (see Linsanity) he can play that role but its a different role for him now. While I think it's absurd to have him camp out by the baseline 3 point line 50% of the time that's the offense we run.

7 shots AGAIN for Lin. Looks like this "playing with James Harden" thing is going to take a whileee to figure out. Always one step forwards, one step backwards. Obviously going to Harvard and being smart doesn't speed up the process. One shot by Lin in the first quarter??? Then a grand total of like 2 points in the second half, and 3 shots.

    Really Lin???

nobody really knows what's really going on with Lin, as far as what the coaches want from him. So, stop with all these threads about his lack of aggression/etc.

From following Lin from his HS years and through out...He definitely doesn't like to be the second fiddle to anyone. He has the so called "alpha male" mentality some ppl are stating he lacks.

Let us judge how good/bad he is when the coaching staff decides to change up the offensive a bit.

Nice labeling of me. I've been critical of Lin as well, been on CFans for the last 4 years, lurked during the SF era. Know your place before you call people out.

Is this what LOH vs LOF could become?

Of course we know, the coaches have said it over and over again in post game interviews they want Lin to be more aggressive.

I'm sure a lot of NBA players didn't play second fiddle in high school. If he has that alpha male attitude then he needs to start playing like he does and stop deferring so much.

Coach blaming is just Escape Goating.

it's unfair to Lin to say "the whole Linsanity thing was disrespectful to proven Good stars. He got all that attention for doing good for a couple of games when players have done what he did for an entire SEASON."

Lin did not create the Linsanity thing and he surely has done nothing to get all that attention.

He just loves to play basketball, and it just happened that the New York Knicks were willing to give him a try, and he just did his best to help win games when both the All-Star superstars were out. And I have yet to see him do anything disrespectful to proven Good stars.

All you have said above about Lin only happened in your hateful mind.

You LOH "really need to learn how to let that go."

how can Lin be more aggressive if the coaches constantly run iso and 3pt offense and want Lin to pass to Harden as he passes the half court line?

The coaches saying "we want lin to be more agro" doesnt correlate well when they run ISO ISO 3pt 3pt plays....

Starting with the Knicks game, 3 out of the next 4 game he was aggressive. It shows that he can be aggressive in this offense. He just reverts back to his old inconsistent self.

^ but they don't run plays, they just have "sets" and go from there. Lin gets his fair share at creating something. You can still be aggressive and follow the game plan. Like last game, you got your star player struggling with his shot, the next best player at creating offense and scoring, is Lin. He didn't even seem like he was looking for his shot.
